  2. Nice nice, what are you going to use it for? I know some tribute guys that only use it for With Or WIthout You, but I think it'd be great for things like feedback during a solo or something, very cool tech, I think Edge has only scratched the surface on that one.

    Edge has used a few Fernandes guitars (Decade Elite's during Popmart, Native Pro during Elevation, RetroRocket Elite's during Vertigo and 360 tours.)

    U2 Fernandes use?
    Popmart tour: Discotheque, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, With Or Without You
    Elevation tour: Discotheque, Staring At The Sun, With Or Without You
    Vertigo tour: With Or Without You
    U2 360 tour: UltraViolet (Light My Way), With Or Without You.

    Which used the sustainer pickup? WOWY and UV. And I'm pretty sure that Velvet Dress distorted intro is sustainer. And as it's been used for Discotheque during Popmart and Elevation performances of the tune... I'd think it might be in there somewhere too (in a less obvious way?).

    That said, I will use it for non-U2 stuff. I have a few tunes I wrote that the sustainer p'up will be useful. Plus just as another guitar in the collection to use. I will probably try to find some other U2 uses, as a second Strat-like guitar. Perhaps for things that Edge used the Danvel Nelson and Clapton Strats for (Streets, I Will Follow, God Part II, All Along the Watchtower)... as the Fernandes has "Hot Rail" pickups, which should fall near similar sonic territory as the Danvel Nelson and Clapton Strat (when using the Clapton's boost).

    Time and experimentation will tell for sure. But if the question is "did I get it to JUST play "With or Without You" the answer is no.

    They have not played "Discotheque" on this tour.

    Other than Popmart tour, it was played a mere 6 times for 'Elevation' tour (including Astoria promo show) and only 2 times on the 'Vertigo' tour (last time being September 20th, 2005 in Chicago)



    Edge doesn't seem to favor the Gibson 335. I've only seen him use a Gibson 335 during the "Joshua Tree" tour ("One Tree Hill")

    Pelham blue is a nice finish. Edge does have a Pelham Blue Gibson SG. It's the backup to the ("Elevation") `66 cherry finish SG. I'd love to see Edge use the Pelham blue SG. Although I've never seen any evidence of it being used. I have seen two pics of Dallas playing it during soundcheck.





  7. i hate you...but really i love you. what i meant to say...was im very jealous I have an ebow and those things are fantastic but I would love to be able to add some vibrato with the trem arm hmmmmm...very jealous
  8. I blew out one of these things a few hours ago at my band's first show lol...



    This is the only picture of one that I could find. The one that I use is sort of different; it's covered with some sort of carpet-esque material. But it's ultimately the same amp.
  9. UPDATE: The eagle has landed!!!! (UPS has arrived) and the RetroRocket sounds very cool indeed.

    I can't believe how light it is! Especially compared to my Clapton Stratocaster, which is quite heavy.

  11. hey guys, how do u add make the 'shimmer' guitar effect? i have a boss me 70, anyone know if that can do it or do u have to buy a shimmer pedal?
