With Joshua Tree (Tribute) Chas gets 99% of the tones from the Axe-FX. Korg A3 gets the tones for "Mysterious Ways".
But for home use... the M13 is amazing and you can get loads of great U2 tones.

Think moneywise too... All the money you spend on an AxeFX and a proper controller.... you could have a few more guitars for variety to use with your M13. Again, for home use or smaller gigs this might be the better solution. I don't know that you will get your money's worth if you are just talking about playing a bit at home.
Very true. And yeah, a lot of guys in tributes use the axe fx. I would buy it with the idea in mind of starting a tribute band, which is what I want to do now. But I guess it would only be smart to wait until that happens to even consider spending that much money. And its true about the guitars, but the guitars I have in mind are just as much

Ultimately it would be stupid to buy the axe fx for tinkering around in my basement (what i do now). Might as well stick with the m13 until I can try to get this tribute band up and running! Then who knows
