    I'm thinking of picking one of these up, pretty much for the sole purpose of trying to nail Streets for our band.



    Here's pretty much why-

    1) I would go with the TC Nova Repeater, but this is more than half the price and I'll be going away to college in just over a month from now...I don't need to spend close to $200 on something I'll rarely be using until next summer.

    2) I know I probably would get more diversity out of the TC Nova, or even the Line 6 Echo Park unit (which I seriously considered for awhile), but I'll literally be using this pedal solely for Streets. I have the Digitech RP-250 (a slightly older model of it though) multi-effect processor, and I can get a pretty precise delay for most of the other songs through that....Streets is the only one that I cannot- for the LIFE of me- seem to generate through that pedal. (If anyone has any ideas for that, btw, please let me know...I'd rather get it through the RP-250 and not have to spend $60 to play one song)
  2. Also, I've found some "patches" for the (I believe current) RP-250, that have sounds like "The Fly" and "Streets" already made up...but how can I download those and get them loaded onto the pedal? I don't think there's a sound-card that's removable....am I just shit-outta-luck in that aspect?

    Don't know of any pedal that will download sounds.

    As for the delay for "...Streets...", you should be able to dial that in easily enough.


  4. With the processor I already have or with the addition of the DigiDelay?

    And I read more into it; Digitech's multi-effect units come equipped with USB ports now, and Digitech has free downloadable software called X-Edit or something...once you have that, you can download patches, queue them in the software, hook up your pedal, and literally transfer the sound and overwrite a preset on the pedal.

    Both.

    Multi-Effects can. But that is the case with Line 6, Axe-FX, etc. But I don't know of any pedals that do that.
  7. Does anyone else think an LP Jr. would suit the Edge?


  8. Someone asked Dallas if Edge had a Les Paul with P-90's - a Jr. If I remember correctly, he said no.

    That said, I do remember seeing a picture with a double cutaway LP Jr. (amongst other guitars and bass guitars) at HQ in Dublin.




    But that might have been Dallas' LP Jr. - Dallas has one that Leslie West of Mountain gave him. Now THAT is pretty sweet. He mentioned cranking up his Marshall, out at his house in the hills in Colorado, and playing that LP Jr. loud.

  10. The problem is that I can't get a double-delay going with the RP-250. No matter how I seem to set it up, it sounds muddy/crappy...either there are too many repeats and the notes just bleed into each other, or the level isn't high enough. I can't get it doubled perfectly the way I want to.

    Am I naive in telling myself the digidelay will solve the problem? At least that way, if it doesnt work- and I've read some specific knob-settings to get the Streets delay sounding right- I can set the Digitech Digidelay to one delay time, and the RP-250 to another, creating the actual album double-delay effect.
  11. I hadn't noticed until today, but... One was bumped a hal step up on the American leg of this last tour! In all previous tours it had been played with G#m, C#, E, F# chords in the verses (a half step down from the album) - or in B key, if you want - , and it was bumped to its original key (C) from the start of the american leg (Chicago 2009-09-12)...... Why? Maybe to make the transition between One and Streets easier?

    Pretty sure it was to do with the transition
