BTW thank you all for saying how beautiful it is Indeed, it is gorgeous And... I think it's going to be my NEXT guitar, since my grandfa is going to quit soon of playing live, and I think I'll receive some of his musical stuff...

This is me with that beautiful LP Artisan:

And this is my Hoffner VeryThin Standard back to back with the Artisan.... Which is better?

Lovely guitar, it sounds really great... Moreover, I thought I had never played a Les Paul Now I can say that I almost OWN a Les Paul

Ha, between the Artisan and the Hofner, that IS a tough call. You m'man, are a lucky bastard lol. Value-wise, there's no doubt a big difference BUT they both look fantastic.

    That's the point.

PS. I'm uploading some audio clips which I played a few ago. Some of them were played with the Artisan, some were not... But they all were played by me

Look forward to it! I'm intending to stick a couple of covers on when an opportunity knocks, probably UTEOTW now that I have my LP lol

I want to do WGRYWH but I need to piss about with the backing track I have so that I can create space for the Vertigo style solo. The Fly, WOWY and something else - anyone know of a BT for One Tree Hill?
  4. Let me check my bag of tricks... I just might have a backing track for WGRYWH.

I will have to check my computer at work too...

...if it doesn't show up there, I've also put out some 'feelers' to a few 'in the know' folks that might be able to send me one.

    Stay tuned...
  5. A bit late but here anyway, here are a few clips I've recorded thru the last months. I'm not any kind of proffesional, and I play mostly looking for joy, so there are mistakes and so, don't expect a perfect version of any song.

All I Want Is You, whole song (Gibson LesPaul Artisan): http://www.mediafire.com/?nnjazpxjdn0
In A Little While, intro (Hofner VeryThin): http://www.mediafire.com/?1s1urnyy1m1
In God's Country, whole song (Hofner VeryThin): http://www.mediafire.com/?btgmbtz8ukm
Hawkmoon 269, live intro from Amsterdam 1989-12-18 (Hofner VeryThin): http://www.mediafire.com/?m34ai1gstzm
Even Better Than The Real Thing, solo (Gibson LesPaul Artisan): http://www.mediafire.com/?nnpddwy3zen
Until The End Of The World, solo (of course Les Paul Artisan): http://www.mediafire.com/?loe1xjlogmb

That's all for now Waiting for feedback and advices
  6. Hey Scotto, you'll dig this! I found these pics on the Lakland website. They probably give the most insight into Adam's sound and effect/guitar usage on specific songs. I would say that these pics give us more than the info from the two interviews that keep getting reposted everywhere.

I love Adam's "idiot proof" setlist complete with color coding for his basses and what effects are to be used.

Apparently nicknames help too. Note the designated switch for the bass Edge uses on "40"

Again the bass Edge uses on "40" gets special labeling

The tech bench for the "Poshest member of U2" complete with espresso machine.

  7. Nice one, Jeff! Is the WGRYWH backing track inclusive of an extension for a solo bit per chance?

I think that's the same for all of us, Sergio - no one here is a pro. if I'm not mistaken? We're all playing for personal enjoyment, and I know that I'm definitely not perfect! Giving your clops a listen ASAP

My 'evaluative' comments are on General Chat because I figured we were getting slightly off-topic here

Alright (answered on gen chat too), on topic again:

Which setups/pedals/effects does Edge use on Mysterious Ways (album)?? That echoes and delays and so sound darn good
