1. I would seriously KILL just to spend a few hours in this rooms:

  2. We should all get together in same room and film our own documentary... using Edge's gear. We'll call it "It Might Get Ripped Off: Damn, How Much Money Would I Be Out If I Broke This?"
  3. hahahaha, good one Nick

By the way, did anyone notice HOW incredibly WONDERFUL are Adam's bass straps???

  4. Oh my God, from the start of the tour, I've been dazzled. They are exactly what I want for my guitars. Unfortunately, I'm going to need to settle. I have found a few that I like, but they definitely don't compete w/ Adam's. I would imagine that all of his cost at least $200+... I'm going to look into them, most of them appear to be made by Levi.

    Edit: http://www.levysleathers.com/browse;cat,868;Straps

None of Adam's on there, and I could not find a customization option on the site.
  5. They look kind of flamboyant to me. But it matches well the flamboyant finishes he has on his basses now.

  6. and the attire he's chosen.

Look for a Boss OD2 or OD2r on ebay. That is what Edge has used for UTEOTW. It has a nice warm compressed tone that nails that tone. It seems that is what Edge used for a number or tours.

I am not 100% sure what he's using for UTEOTW on 360. I think it might be one of the Line 6 DM4 patches.

TS9 modded by Analong Man will sound very good. The 808 Tubescreamer reissue is a good one too.

Maxon is great. Maxon MADE the original 808 and TS9 Tubescreamers for Ibanez.

    Hi!

Thanks for the tip about the OD2. I purchased an occassion OD-2 from 1986 (MIJ)!
Sounds amazing, can't nail the UTTEOTW sound yet, but it's getting close!
Also, I got a EH Big Muff Pi.

So, any suggestions for further improvements?
Basically, what I need now is a clean soft distortion and a good delay pedal.

also, does Edge only use Boss pedals that were made in japan? (don't know if anyone knows that one :-) )

You can customize them yourself. =O)

Scott from Joshua Tree (La based U2 tribute) has made a few of his own. All very cool.

  10. I would like to eventually look into creating my own, but for the time being, I don't have the money to spend on things that aren't "necessities" in my rig. Plus, I don't have any skill in working with things like that (or anything else with my hands lol).

You can start on paper. Make a design and then bedazzle and glitter away. Once you have the idea and figure out how to do it, then translate that to a Strap.

Et voila! Problem solved. Sparkle obtained.

Oh yes, I completely forgot about the bedazzle beads! Actually, a few months ago I had an idea to bedazzle some regular dress slacks for stage use. I'll definitely look into those again, thanks.
