1. Hahaha, welcome to the forum and specially welcome to the guitar subforum, this is our little funky world I hope you enjoy your stay, feel free to share photos, videos etc and of course to ask whatever you please - we have a bunch of guitar experts that give excellent tips, believe me!

    Welcome
  2. Anybody ever heard an acoustic version of Gone? Thinking of trying to conjure one up

  3. I've played it that way, just messing around at home on my Gibson 12-string acoustic.

I think the 12-string helps fill the sound out more. Particularly as you don't have all the distortion that you have on the original electric version.

What chords did you use? It sounds like its in Db or something, haven't really started it yet Pity I don't have a 12 string either

let the Echord ring out and still with tremelo :

    play VERSE when time comes
    then back to distortion

    to play: "goodbye"part and CHORUS

End song with outro of E and A chords...thats it..basically if u own the video u will be able to play this song just watch it for timing and thats it.

And NO throwing your guitar to the ground and kicking it (LIke Edge did in the Boston Elevation DVD)

    There ya go!
  6. I've played it acoustically plenty of times, it can sound pretty good if you know how to "fill" the spaces between chord changes, as Jeff said. By the way, Jeff, I edited your post in the way we should post tabs, with the [ pre] code

Had no idea about 'how to post' tabs or whatnot. I will have try to remember that for the future.

Not sure of having it scroll like that is easier or not. Nor am I sure I like that my post was edited. I'd probably have liked to have been told before it was done... But it is what it is.
  8. There's no worries, mate! I just edited it and told you so everyone could learn how to do it Scrolling down inside a preformatted box is less convenient, I know, but if we don't limit the lenght of our posts, we end up with tremendously long forum pages which are waaay more unconvenient.

You can edit it again if you're so offended, no problem. It was just an ilustrative way of how to do it.
  9. Hey guys!
I've been using the ZT Lunchbox for a month or two now, and really loving it. I remember when I mentioned it here some people sounded intersted, so I decided to record a quick clip to demo it for you guys that might be interested in buying this kick-ass little amp. It's definitely worth the money!

I think we can all meet on common ground here when it comes to U2 tone, and when you can get a decent Edge tone you can get a decent tone for the kind of music that seems to be generally liked around here. So I recorded the demo using U2 songs. Forgive the mistakes, I haven't practised these songs in a while, I've mainly been busy writing/practising songs for my own band!

    Hope you guys like it,

    Alex

For those interested, signal path was:

    Strat -> M13 -> ZT Lunchbox

    simple as that!

Is there an amp mod on the M13? Or are you just using a delay setting? For instance, even if I'm playing through a regular Fender-90 amp, I can set my Digitech box to make it sound like I'm playing through a tweed. Anything like that going on, or is it pure lunchbox?

    It's a beautiful tone, I'm amazed
  11. No amp sims (personally I don't like them anyway!) It's all pure ZT Lunchbox. Only effects from the M13 here were mod delays, tube screamer sim, a compressor, and a wah for The Fly.

    and Thanks!
