  1. Yeh cutting a regular slide should do the trick, I've never seen one for sale Hacksaw and a filer and you'll be grand
  2. Cutting a normal-sized slide is the thing for me too, moreover you get TWO Edge-size slides

    I recently bought a Vox Tonelabe LE.. but you guys seem to be fond of the

  4. I used to have the tonelab and I thought it was awesome. What happened was, I wanted to go back to a pedal board, and I did for a long time, but then when I joined a band I knew I needed something with less tap dancing (less footwork needed ). I got the M13 because it still has a bit of the pedal board feel to it, and hte tone is just great.

    A lot of people are looking at the new Pod HD500, which is pretty much the M13 with amp sims, a built in expression pedal, and a different interface:

    A lot of the guys on U2soundforum have even switched from M13, or even their Axe-FX rigs, or pedal boards, to this unit. It seems to suit their needs better than anything at the moment.

    HD 500 is pretty great. And you can download the softward to edit tones on your computer instead of merely twiddling the knobs on the HD 500 itself (Much like you can do with the Axe FX.

    Overall, the Axe is FAR more versatile. BUT for $500.00, it is a great "Edge starter kit".

    Yep, considering the Axe is like 1800+. I wouldn't even call the HD500 a starter and the Axe a professional rig, I'd say they're both professional, but the Axe is much more versatile, complicated (from what I've heard) to the point where you can do TOO much, and probably a waste of money. If guys from U2 tribute bands are selling their axe-fx's and going with the HD500, I think that's saying something!

    I mashed-up 25 U2 songs that share similar chord progressions, just playing Am, G, F and E all throughout. Some of this songs of course do not have that chords, not even in other keys, but they simply fit on that progression.

  11. Made this clip this morning, I wasn't paying attention to guitar tone, and I know the tempo is a bit fast, but I just wanted to upload something because I was bored. The vocals are drenched in reverb because I had just gotten up and I was flat for one part of the clip
