Yeh loads of people said the freeze was hard to use but I got it just fine

DigiTech doesn't really use the system of actual notes, it uses milliseconds or seconds. However, dotted eighths are just notes from a bar of music. For example, in a four-beat measure, there are four whole (or "quarter") notes (duh). That said, there are eight eight notes, sixteen sixteenth notes, two half notes, etc. Very simple once you get the hang of it.
