1. I like the black back but not the black sides...

By the way, for those willing to help me regarding the mirror Les Paul's request I did before: I don't need the pic from the Pop album's booklet, I already have that in 1800x1800 pixels... I would like to have other pics

  2. There are not that many pictures of that guitar. There is one pic of Dallas with it, not a big picture.

And the one's on my site (linked above)...

...Other than that, you might be able to scan the pic of your CD booklet and make that bigger.

Other than the promo pic in the album and the Discothuque video...

...I don't know that guitar ever got used. I've not seen any pictures or video of Edge using it during the Popmart tour. It was later auctioned. Legend had it, it was quite heavy. I imagine it being covered in mirror-tiles might not have helped the tone of the guitar.
  3. Who cares, it looks cool, and that's what's most important

Thought I'd post a recording I just made with the new guitar for you guys.

First song recorded with the new 330/6, I'm loving this guitar the more and more I play it. It's so light, it plays and feels amazing, and it sounds great.

You may think that the immense fuzz tone that the majority of this song holds barely shows off the personality of the guitar's sound, however the Rick gets that boxy fuzz sound that's on this song very well, it does it better than my other guitars. It sounds great.

    Rick - > M13 -> ZT Lunchbox.

Love playing this song, love the song, here it is.

  4. I like it a looooooot, Alex, a lot!! You're right, the super-fuzz fits the tone like a glove (specially from 2:21, the ascending "Ohh, ooh" scale). Well done!
BTW: Is that the NLOTH backing track I included on my compilation a while ago?

Thanks for that too, Jeff, I guessed there's not a lot of info on that guitar but... Oh anyway, thanks

Thanks man! And yeah I love that part of the song. And I'm not sure! I got it from AM's backing track site:

I think that there isn't much information on the 'Discotheque' guitar is that it was barely used. Looks like the video and promo pics for the album are pretty much all there was.

  8. Is it known whether he used it for recording Discotheque or is it just a show off guitar

  9. Just a gimmick, to look cool. I'm pretty sure discotheque was either recorded on the Gretsch Country Gent or the Jaguar/fernandes decade elite. Maybe even a strat for the quieter parts, I don't htink it's really known. But it definitely wasn't that les paul.

As with most songs, there are often more than one guitar on the tune. As for the main riff, I read in an interview that "Discotheque" was an acoustic through pedals and amps.

Live during the Popmart tour, it was one of two Fernandes Decade Elite w/sustainer pickups. (One burnt orange and another custom sea foam green).

During the Elevation tour, Edge used the Les Paul at lease some of the time.

And used a Stratocaster on some shows... Antwerp, for example:

. They did play "Discotheque" two times during the 'Vertigo'. Of the footage I've seen, he used the Lake Placid Blue Telecaster.

(Check the video below at about 1:30 in)

  11. God how I wish they'd pull out a Pop tune this tour. It would work so well with the stage. They should ditch crappy ass Crazy Tonight remix and instead rotate between Disco, Mofo, and Last Night On Earth every night. GOD that would be amazing.
