  1. Here's the video for the screencap above. Not sure fo the guitar. I talked to one of Daniel Lanois' assistants... he said it's a Gretsch. Although, the headstock looks like a Gibson to me. More research...

    Ebow part being played seems to be from "Breathe".

  2. Wrote myself a 90 minute setlist of covers this morning- rock n' roll was a great way to start my morning. Played all the way straight through along with the songs on my iPod, and all I can say is that new callouses are such a joy.

    If you zoom in on The Edge's amps, you will notice that the main Vox (top) has two Vox Blue speakers now.


    Used to be a Silver / Blue combination, like in the picture below.

    Viewing from behind the amp, it used to have a silver on the left and a blue. (Pictured below) I guess the silver speaker went bad.

  7. Matt mentioned that earlier to me, indeed it was played at in original tuning (half step higher). Well spotted
  8. And the intro tease of "Fez" and "Zooropa" was crafty of them... now to actually PLAY "Fez / Being Born" and "Zooropa".... that would be truly awesome to see/hear.

    That there is a G6127T Gretsch Duo Jet. Lovely looking guitar. They sound amazing. Sort of like a nice marriage between a Les Paul and Country Gent (Filter Tron) tone.

    It's either at G6128T - Bigsby and Filtertron pickups or a G6128TVP - aka the "Power Jet" Pickups are upgraded to TV Jones Power'Trons.

    I remember Guitar World doing a video product review of the Power Jet... Lovely sounding guitar. I would love to have one.

  12. Who thought that I Will Follow was played (Popmart aside) exclusively on the famous Gibson Explorer '76?




    AWESOME version of Streets (I love the change of the "trampleeeed in duuuussst" line) and surprising version of I Will Follow, played on a... on... a... Stratocaster
