    Sheraton's are not bad guitars. If you are willing to pay $599 for the Sheraton, play both the Sheraton AND the Casino. Then choice which sounds/plays best to you.

    I do NOT recommend the Epiphone DOT. There is a reason they are between $299-$399. That is that they are not as nice and are of lesser quality than the Casino and Sheraton.

    I understand money can be an issues but sometimes, it's worth delayed gratification, saving and getting something that you will love and keep instead of 'good enough for now'.

    If you are thinking solid body? Epiphone Explorer is $499. It's one of the best guitars that Epiphone makes, in my view. The stock pickups are good (not great), and you could upgrade them later. Again, it would be a guitar you love and wouldn't have buyers remorse.

  5. Irish Falcon's are no longer made but might still be found online through some dealers and in the second hand market. They are not cheap.

    The recently seen "Goal is Soul" Fender Custom Shop Fender/Gretsch Hybrid Telecaster is not a production model. Although you can order one through the Fender Custom shop. Like the Irish Falcon, it is pricey.

  7. I have a Casino, you'll find a picture of it if you search back a good few pages, around November/December time. It's really, really great. I love it, played it and a Dot in the shop and this was easily a better pick. As Jeff said, there is a reason it's cheaper although its not a bad guitar by any means.

  9. I'm not thinking solid-body I have an acoustic guitar, and I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, so now I want a semi-acoustic to be a little more "complete"
