1. Yeah, it's nowhere near being an option for me. Just some drooling

I'm looking for a pretty cheap guitar, somewhere in the range of the Dot and Sheraton
  2. I have a Casino, you'll find a picture of it if you search back a good few pages, around November/December time. It's really, really great. I love it, played it and a Dot in the shop and this was easily a better pick. As Jeff said, there is a reason it's cheaper although its not a bad guitar by any means.

    +1

Got mine from eBay for about £270, best buy of my life.
  4. I'm not thinking solid-body I have an acoustic guitar, and I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, so now I want a semi-acoustic to be a little more "complete"
  5. Isn't semi-acoustic when it's an acoustic that can be plugged in?
  6. Oohh yeah, electric-acoustic is what I was thinking Fair enough.

I respectfully disagree with one bit... I do think that the "Dot" is cheap in price and quality and isn't such a good guitar.
  8. Sorry, I didn't mean you said that man You can certainly buy worse guitars for that price though
  9. Sheraton sure is one great looking guitar, and Edge used one Not the "II" though?

  10. What is it about the Dot that you don't like? 'Cause I've read lots of reviews and everyone seems to love it.

A lot of guys are scared away from Ibanez because they're prominently a metal guitar company, but they also make some really nice jazz hollowbodies for decent prices.

Have to say, I'm in the same boat as Olof, really would love to get a semi-acoustic next time out, and for my part haven't ever considered Ibanez semi-acoustics; checked some of them out on GAK, bookmarked a few for future reference, cheers for the pointer

This one caught my eye big-time:

Does look pretty sweet, must say

EDIT - fascinated by this - http://www.gak.co.uk/en/ibanez-msc380fm-trd-trans-red/45355; makes me think its their take on the Variax, not nut for bolt but that idea with different tone control, modelling thing etc.
