I respectfully disagree with one bit... I do think that the "Dot" is cheap in price and quality and isn't such a good guitar.
  3. Sorry, I didn't mean you said that man You can certainly buy worse guitars for that price though
  4. Sheraton sure is one great looking guitar, and Edge used one Not the "II" though?

  5. What is it about the Dot that you don't like? 'Cause I've read lots of reviews and everyone seems to love it.

A lot of guys are scared away from Ibanez because they're prominently a metal guitar company, but they also make some really nice jazz hollowbodies for decent prices.

Have to say, I'm in the same boat as Olof, really would love to get a semi-acoustic next time out, and for my part haven't ever considered Ibanez semi-acoustics; checked some of them out on GAK, bookmarked a few for future reference, cheers for the pointer

This one caught my eye big-time:

Does look pretty sweet, must say

EDIT - fascinated by this - http://www.gak.co.uk/en/ibanez-msc380fm-trd-trans-red/45355; makes me think its their take on the Variax, not nut for bolt but that idea with different tone control, modelling thing etc.
  7. That first hollowbody you showed from Gak is very Rickenbacker-esque with that pick-guard Nice looking guitar

  8. Yes and no. Edge used one on the flatbed truck during the filming of the "All Because of You" promo video but other than that...

...and that was probably only because Dallas was prepping the 'stage' guitars for the Brooklyn Bridge show later than evening.
  9. Yeah, but him using one means something to us U2-fans doesn't it?

  10. They are good guitars. No hate there. I was just pointing out... other than a trip around NY on a flatbed... Edge has not apparently used it.

When I looked it up a bit someone said it was used in the studio version of All Because of You... Do you or anyone else know anything about that?
  12. NEW EDGE GEAR:

I've heard that Dallas recently bought Edge an EMMA Discumbobulator. They are no longer made but can be found on ebay from time to time.

    MINE arrived on Friday.

It is the only pedal that seems to get close to a Mysterious Ways sound. Although, not quite as good as the Korg A3 does it. It does a pretty good "Please" sound.

DUNLOP/CAE Boost Overdrive. Edge has had one on his studio pedalboard. There was a pic ove that pedalboard from November 2009 that Edge tweeted.

MINE is in transit. They list for $135. I found mine for $100.00

Edge has used the Electrix Filter Factory for "Elevation" since it was recorded. The sold for $400 new in 2000. They were made from 1999-2001.

I found one on ebay that a guy bought in 2000, used briefly... moved and some things were put in storage... forgot that he had it... found it recently and put on ebay. All working condition and about as "new" as it can get. Price? $230 MINE should be here in the next week.

    Complete with box

    and manual.

Like I said, about as new as it gets.
