1. @ Alex : thanks a lot for your opinion !
Especially for what you said about trying to feel and hear the guitar, even as a beginner (read "noob" ).
I wasn't planning that, because I'd feel like an idiot + I had no idea there was a difference in the thickness of the neck. I thought that was the same.

My budget... Well I don't know how far my parents want to go, but I'm planning on paying a part if I find one that's a bit over their limit. I'd say max € 200 then.

    Hey no problem man!
Don't worry about feeling like an idiot, everyone has to start somewhere and everyone recognizes somebody picking up an instrument for the first time as a cool thing, not something to be made fun of.

You should be able to get a decent enough acoustic in that price range also. Just go in and have a peek around, if it makes you feel better, go to the store in the middle of a work day or something when its not busy. I know when my friend and I go in to try guitars out we usually go in the middle of a weekday (when we don't have class), and the place is usually a ghost town. Not that we're self-conscious about our playing or anything, but we just prefer trying out guitars when there's no one around shredding scales and showing off like an idiot

  3. I have a guitar idea that to the best of my knowledge no one else has ever attempted.
I think it could be quite potent and I'll let you all know when It's ready. (Will be some time.)

    Sorry, I've already tried it.
  6. Yet another Warwick for Adam. Next up... a sweet looking Candy Apple Red Warwick Reverso for Adam.

WARWICK has just finished a very eye-catching Custom Shop for U2 bassist and Warwick endorser Adam Clayton, and the instrument is ready right on time for Leg 3 of the mega group’s current U2360° Tour.

"Clayton is set to reveal his latest Warwick weapon onstage in the US, where the band will play their current string of shows throughout this spring and summer.

Clayton’s choice of the vibrant Candy Apple Red color for his latest Custom Shop is an unusual one, compared with his typical preference for more natural woody and blander finishes...

... but for the current leg of this tour he has hinted that his choice is in creative co-ordination with the stage show.

So watch out for a surprise onstage unveiling of this fine new brow-raising bass with some trademark Clayton showmanship to match."

  7. Now THAT I can dig. That's a damn awesome looking bass!!!

I just hate how everyone always says "U2's US leg" or "U2 returning to the US". Where's the Canada love? Even in that video "We're comin' back" they didn't mention Canada at all. Weak.

    But cool bass.
  8. I'm more worried that they called it Leg 3 of the tour That's a gorgeous bass though. Love the colour and especially those LED side dots.
  9. That bass is eye candy. Gorgeous. The colour, I'm adoring it.
  10. Just wow!
