    It's actually a mixture of a bunch of things, including reverse delay, shimmer, mod delay, and probably some reverb.

    But yeah the Line 6 Verbzilla will get you pretty much there, (to the guy who originally asked), about 85% of the sound is shimmer alone. The rest of it is for the huge fanatics that need it exactly on par! But yeah the shimmer alone will do just fine.

    I asked about the Streamer used for "Electrical Storm" in Barcelona and was told:



    ...the bass you are requesting was tryout gear. I think we sent
    him 12 different basses and models over in this time for try out
    that he can find out what he likes…

    So it seems the black Stryker and the Buzzard, both seen in U2.com footage during the making of NLOTH, were on loan.

    And then there were the Reverso proto-types. That is the story thus far.

    And hopefullly will be close up for some of the other shows I am attending.


  7. That picture, if memory serves, was in Propaganda and dates back to 2000 era, from around the time of the recording of ATYCLB

    Not all of those are Edge's, I see some bass guitars... that acoustic up front is Adam's acoustic bass. There are other pics of Adam with that bass, in Propaganda, around the same era.

  11. Some go to Hawaii for vacation. I go to U2 shows. As they don't tour every year, in most cases it's every 4 years, it gives me time to save up some vacation time and money.
