1. Thanks for the info, Jeff! I thought Scarlet was played in the same LP as Walk On. I guess I'll have to check videos more often
  2. I've been watching videos of Streets off the current tour. Is that old black that Edge is playing?
  3. Stay's had some epic versions lately can't wait for my encounter with Stay next week

  4. Dallas has mentioned that the 1973 Blackie being used for Streets is the one from the early days.

But that said, I remember it being said that for the album... the natural finish Stratocaster he used for Stuck In A Moment was used for a lot of the "anthem" songs in the mid-to-late 1980's (Streets, Still Haven't Found, All I Want)

Nice to see it has made a return.

  6. Appears to be the same one used for "...Streets..." on the Vertigo tour. So it's been back in the mix since 2005, apparently.

  7. The one used on Streets on the Vertigo tour originally had a diffrent color pickguard if I recall.

  8. If it is truly a 1973, and wasn't a custom order back in 1973, then it would have originally had the 3-layer pickguard and white pickup covers.

The black pickups and pickguard wasn't a stock option until 1975 (black being the pickguard color of choice, vs. white for 1975-1981, if memory serves).

But from all accounts (magazine interviews from Vertigo tour through the Music Radar online article of 2009) the all black Stratocaster used for Streets on Vertigo and 360 is the all-black 1973.

I meant orginally. The pickguard was switched to the back one. Its entirely possible he has benn using the same Strat for years just with diffrent color pickguards.

In any case, I imagine he must have some emotional attachment to it as 70s Strats are regarded as shit.
