  1. I know Rickenbacker made a Glen Frey model. And when I googled "Glen Frey guitar" I found a signature acoustic.... but that seems to be all I found...
  2. I've done some research. Apparently, its a late 50s, early 60s model LP Junior he got off Jackson Browne. Among other mods, hes added a second pickup, (and the needed switch) and was refinished the headstock entirely black. Also, while watching the live from Melbourne DVD it looks like it has some more knobs (makes sense seeing as he added a pickup.)

    Back to U2, does Edge even have a mick stand anymore or does he just use face micks?
  3. No mic stand this tour for Edge. Just the headset mic.

    That is why Dallas has been attaching extra picks to guitars via tape or between the guitar body and pickguard.

    (As the mic stand used to be where the spare picks where located)
  4. I just bought a Fender Mustang III (best thing that fit my budget)



    A while ago, I had seen a forum where people were sharing files that could be loaded into amps and pedals like this, that have the digital interface preset format, and some were for U2 songs. Perfect reproductions of Streets, The Fly, close ones of Mysterious Ways, Bad, etc...but I can't seem to locate them anymore. Does anyone have any information as to where those might be? They'd be awesome to just load right into the amp and jam away until I can figure out how to edit the settings nicely myself.

  6. It's an amazing little box...actually smaller than my Fender 90W Deluxe, but has the same size speaker and packs 100W. Had lots of fun figuring out initially how to use it, and it will keep me eternally busy.

  8. I wonder why The Edge doesn't use the 1975 walnut Telecaster Custom more often.



    First time that I saw Edge with this guitar was at the 46664 concert. (Late 2003, I think?)

    It next appeared in the "Vertigo" video in 2004.



    It appeared on the Guitar World cover in 2005 and the Australian Guitar magazine cover in 2006(?).



    He used it for "Magnificent", "Vertigo" and "Get On Your Boots" during the BBC rooftop show.

    It can be seen in the bonus footage of the Pasadena 360 DVD. There is footage from the soundcheck in Barcelona. Edge tells Dallas something to the effect of "give us a guitar" and he gives him the 1975 Telecaster Custom and the footage shows him playing a few things, I think "Magnificent" is one of them.

    Seems no one has ripped and posted that footage to YouTube. Anyone have clips of that? Anywho...

    Seems to be a great guitar. Seems odd that it isn't used more. I wonder why that is?
  9. I know the clip you mention about him playing it in Barcelona on the bonus disc. Was wondering why he never used it, it's looks pretty sexy.

    And if you look at the clips where he's used it, it sounds great.

    It works great for "Magnificent". The slide parts benefit from the neck position humbucker.

    Guess that is one to ask Dallas or Edge one day.

    PS: I want that brown crocodile guitar strap!

  11. I'm in the market for a good, lightweight (left handed) acoustic. I want to be able to bounce Chris Martin style.

    is that a P90 and a Humbucker or do my eyes deceive me?
