I'm thinking the Boss ME-25 may be good It'd seem to be a good deal for its relatively low cost.
  2. Thinking... does an multi-fx work well with pedals? I'm thinking of whether or not a combination of some kind of overdrive pedal with a multi-fx would work well, or sound fucked up...
  3. As long as both are true-bypass and you don't have any overdrive (or similar effect) going on the multi effect unit, there should be no prob
  4. There is a bypass setting in the ME-25 if I remember right.
  5. What Sergio said. Some multi-effect pedals have a specific "out" for individual effect pedals if you want to use them. Almost like one of those loops I was talking about within a multi-fx pedal. A good example is a lot of guys prefer to use their own wah pedal, or a lot of U2 guys who use a multi-fx need to use the Line 6 Verbzilla for shimmer. It can be done!

Hi Joe! The reason behind my question is that the distortions on the ME-25 don't sound that great in demos... what is your opinion of them?

Since I am unable to stop asking questions... Which effects do you use for that COBL shimmer (I'm checking list of which effects Line6's different multieffects contain)?
  8. They're not perfect but there is quite a range. I haven't really attempted much with distortion.
  9. When listening to demos... VOX sounds a lot better than Boss.

I just presented a little idea to dad that he thought was good... that if I get, let's say the Boss ME-25. I can "upgrade" it to an ME-70 by paying the extra cost.
  10. Good deal
  11. I was going to get the ME-70, so let me know what it's like.

Well, maybe I want the Tonelab EX instead.
