    Spying? I bet you can't wait to get your hands on it If noone in your family is interested in playing instruments then it's obviously yours.

    Haha, no I just happened to see that Customs Declaration on the outside of that package when I brought the post in. It was hard not to see
  5. It seems that Adam Clayton is still in search of the perfect bass. While he has a great number of fine vintage and new bass guitars, he has recently enlisted the skills of Sandowsky Guitars Ltd to make 4-bass guitars (thus far) for him.

    Just a heads up on how wonderful your 4 basses are....beautiful instruments and so much "weight" and deep tone with a very light weight bass......amazing. The Will Lee is killer and the PJs so balanced. Adam has been tracking away and not having to break the momentum dialing in his sound.....Just a very good marriage of effortless tone that seems inherent with the overall design. The entire band and the production team could not be happier.

    Here's one of the bass guitars. Looks to be a Will Lee model. Seems to be a custom finish job as well.

  7. Time for a thread revival with a quick question! This is directed more at the guys with more experience.

    I've been looking at the Vox AC4's, specifically the AC4TVH and V112TV (head and cab combo) and I'm close to picking one up, but the thing that concerns me is the particle board construction. Some guys say it doesn't really matter apart from being a bit of a cheaper material, others say to stay away from it no matter what. My question is, is it really that bad? I realize what particle board is, but is it that tempermental in terms of how long it will last?

  8. It's a cheap, tiny tube amp designed to be just that. It would be twice as expensive in real wood. I wouldn't worry about it that much

    The vinyl (?) covering will guarantee longevity for the cabinet, as long as you don't spill beer on it, or set it down in a puddle.
  9. Ok a question for the more experienced electric guitar players here.

    I'm trying to play Go Your Own Way and I can't seem to get the right tone. I have an Epi Explorer connected to my M13 going to a Vox Pathfinder 15R.

    At the moment, I'm only using the Classic Distortion model (meant to be the ProCo Rat) but am not happy with the tone - it seems either too brittle (and thrashy sounding) and if I turn the drive down then not distorted enough. It needs to be a warm, thick tone and i'm completely new to effects so not sure what to do as there seems to be ten thousand permutations of guitar,effects unit and amp settings to sift through.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    My guitar settings are tone set to 0 and use the neck pickup with is set to 6 or 7
  11. 20€ plus 20€ of shipping is something to consider though.

    I don't like that effect it makes very difficult to play in time, and it doesn't extend the sustain enough to make it sound like an ebow, so it's pretty much useless in my humble opinion. Anyway: let the forum's big fishes speak

    Just 15€ to Sweden actually. And it would be an addition to a big order I'm gonna make, so shipping isn't to worry about.

    So you've tried the effect and you didn't like it, am I right?
