This is more of a subtle Edge reference, but for those who might get it I've walked by Rudy's Music Store in Manhattan about 10 times this weekend (I came to New York for a family trip). Unfortunately it was always too early or too late for it to be open as I walked by, but ah well. Still cool knowing I walked on pavement Edge walked on
EDIT: Went on this morning on the last day of our trip, the guy said Edge comes in all the time. How cool
The Flint looks like something I might look into as well. I'm still considering the eventide space, but more and more it's another hulking price looming on the horizon, and from what I hear of the timeline it seems like I may not even need it, it might be overkill. I wish I could go into a music store and they'd have all these pedals and I could sit there for hours comparing!
But the Flint sounds awesome reverb-wise and tremolo-wise.
I think the timeline will suffice for delays for me! I'm on a pretty tight budget here and I'm trying to get the most out of it, but thanks for the suggestion!
Maybe I should mention that I got the Joyo Classic Chorus last week.
I've also actually ordered another Joyo... Without even trying it first. The Joyo Sweet Baby Low-Gain Overdrive. This Youtube demo just made me need to have it. It just sounds like the kind of overdrive I want.
I'm on holiday now so my focus is on music. I think I got a pretty cool lead tone in this today. It's my Sheraton into the Bad Monkey which gives a lot of sustain, it is then "chopped up" by a very short 25 ms reverse delay on my Boss DD-20, it then goes through the new chorus into the the clean channel on my Peavey Valveking 112 with a lot of treble taken out on the amp's EQ. I think it sounds cool. This is an unfinished project, so it's well, unfinished, need to add more stuff to the song. I thought someone could be interested in the tone I got though, because I really like it.
