1. I would hit the tubes before the speaker- much bigger impact on the sound in my opinion, and you might wind up not needed to spend the money on the speaker at all.

I almost did the same thing and ended up gutting the amp entirely and making a custom amp head out of an old Fender Deluxe combo! It's pretty sweet!

Well, the internet says the speaker really makes a lot of difference for a VK112 and clears it up a lot. I think I believe it, the almighty internet, because the amp does sound a bit muddy. Not a lot. But not entirely "free". I think I'll change both. Should be fun to do to. Some electronics. Maybe I'll even get myself killed! But I don't think so.
  3. Please do have us informed.

    xD

Ah, didn't know it was giving you that much of an issue. Thought you were moreso looking for something to do. Good luck with it then! Let us know, death or otherwise
  5. The greatness is on the fingers.

And sometimes, on the most gorgeous guitar I've ever seen. Months pass, times goes by and my love for this beauty doesn't vanish a bit. I know it will be mine some day. I'm hoping for the right moment, saving a bit each month, a bit, and a bit... It will be mine. I just jizz every time I see it.

  6. I think I've seen you post that before, sweeeeet looking axe! It would look great in black too

In other news I'm still waiting to hear back about my M9! Guess the guy is still working on it (he DID say there's a 3-4 week turnaround and it's only been 2 weeks). If I haven't mentioned it before I'm having my Line 6 M9 modified in more ways than one
  7. Of course I have posted it before. I'm fucking IN LOVE with that guitar, and it sounds like heaven too (Telecaster build but with PA-90s pick ups, fatter and stronger sound than single coils - I already have my Strat for coil sound). It will be mine. It's just a matter of time.

Blackie? There you go It's available in crimson red (my favorite), natural and black:

I'm off to bed. I will dream of this guitar once again. See you all
  8. Jesus that black is fantastic! Night man!
  9. I'm about to buy one of this two guitars. Priced at 100€ (both were over 250€ on retail) they're a bargain.
    Which one do you prefer?

I have a soft spot for the thinness and cutaway of the Palmer, but the Durango headstock might be the most gorgeous ever.

    VS.

  10. The headstock is beautiful, but you're not playing the headstock you're playing the guitar, the body. If the thinner one feels better to play, you'll be happier with it!
  11. They're both excellent value for the price, but... Yeah, I think I'll take the slim one, it has integrated pickup and the cutaway, which are obvious advantages. The slimmer body will help too. The gorgeous one plays a little better (better action and -obviously- more resonance) but I can live with a little bit less sound greatness but quite a few playing advantages

PS. Did you see the flower-shaped tuning knobs? Holy shit. I'll regret not getting this

  12. Get both!
