1. Same here!

@Alex it's a bummer to learn your band disbanded some time ago, so sorry to hear that. I hope it's for the better though. Also good to see you're still writing. Never let that music hunger vanish!
  2. Oh, and count on us to help promoting your stuff, take it for granted-
  3. Im not usually a sticker boy but I found this little thing Kirsten had sent me years ago and couldnt resist.

  4. I thank y'all!

After nearly 10 years, finally got 'round to giving my venerable old first guitar a revamp, so yes, I now have a Superstrat:

I had been contemplating buying a new one but whacking in some new Wilkinson single coils (talk about bang for one's buck..), new scratchplate, and new trem arm/bridge, it's gone straight to #1 in my arsenal (yep, ahead of the Explorer and the Les Paul). A quick clean-up to the neck and some Ernie Ball 10s stuck on for good measure (I've moved away from Roto-Blues), and it feels like a much more expensive piece of kit. Bearing in mind this was a starter guitar, it's been transformed for less than £100 (inc. costs to get a local tech to fit the stuff as I don't have any means to do the changes myself at the moment - damned urban living...), and I'm bloody loving it.

    In short: UPGRADES ARE FUN.
  5. A new backlight for my Korg A3 arrived today from Germany. The old one was pretty much dead. Loosened a lot of screws and brought out the soldering iron. Very happy with the end result. Now I can see what I'm doing on it

A before and an after pic+what it looks like opened up:

  6. I really want a Korg A3. Not for the U2 sounds, just to muck around with it. Looks like a superb device to play with to find various sounds.
  7. It sounds EXCELLENT judging from the comments at the U2 GUitar facebook group. As if a Les Paul and a Strat had sex. Superb sustain and more balanced tone than most standard strats.

£1200 excess capital sounds like a pipe dream to me
  8. Looks great! I actually like the 70s style headstock. Although not a fan of the Edge logo on the headstock on this guitar. Couldn't they have put it on back? Oh well, I'm only nitpicking really.

    Especially with my drinking habits...

    (Say what!?)

Sounds like one hello of a combo. I mean, I'd take it such as it is regardless, but I've always preferred darkwood fretboards, the thinner headstock, and black scratch-plates.

Prefer darker finishes too but having said that, this is my current next axe of choice:

Agree re. the sig, but yeah, certainly not a major bugbear. Just glad to see our boy finally getting recognised with his own model!
