1. I just ordered my 70's strat reissue today!!! Man am I excited. Probably shortly after I get it i'll swap out the white pickguard and pickup covers and knobs and pickups switcher (should have used commas there) for black ones, so I can have a replica of Edge's blackie. I'm excited!

Cool! Of course this being the internet and all it doesn't really exist unless there's a picture of it so be sure to post when you get it.

Sounds great! Congrats. How much, if you don't mind, did the reissue cost? I know a girl on U2 Rec that did the same thing... black and white reissue and swapped it to all black. Looks Edge approved and sharp as can be.

Congrats again! Always great to hear that someone got new gear. More so when it's ME that gets new gear! But I can be happy for my fellow musicians too. I'm good like that.

...and YES... please post a piccy of the new guitar when it arrives.

That's right, this could be you...

  5. Haha. Love that picture. But yea, it cost around 800& (CAN $) after tax. I ordered it through one of the local music stores here. I can't wait for it!

    NO worries Harry.

IN U2 guitar related news... other than the auctioned blue LP Standard and the new (new to Edge but probably vintage) Gretsch White Falcon (seen in the U2.com footage), I wonder what other guitars that The Edge got for the album

Every musician has a musical personality, impossible to copy. I can't understand why some people keep secret about their rigs, like that Audioslave guy. I think it is quite silly.

Some guitarist are "wired". If you take Mark Knopfler, or Carlos Santana, they can make any guitar sound like them. Also, dumb quewstion for Jeff. Are you and Dalas on a first name basis, or is it Mr. Schoo?

Now they are calling it a 5.4. It was enought o get our attention. The builiding I work in is a bit old. So that made it a bit more of "a ride". But so far, no big aftershocks.

We never get those in Michigan (or at least my part) but ocasionally theres one in Kentucky or somewhere down there, that you can slightly feel the aftershocks from.
