That there is a Gretsch Country Gentleman. And he's playing "City Of Blinding Lights". If you have the Vertigo Live in Chicago DVD - it's the first guitar Edge uses in that show.

He used a 1964 or 65 on Please. That one died in the flood. The one used for COBL is a 1963 model.

Gorgeous guitar it is. Never paid much attention to Chicago DVD. Moreover I haven't seen it in ages, and probably last time I saw it I didn't even know what a Fender or a Gibson was ¬¬

Thanks for all the info! Once again you are awesomeeeee

PS. Any (short) info on that Jerry Jones guitars??
  8. There is a Country Gentlemen for sale at my local music store for like 2500 or something. Beautiful guitar, i said to my dad "That right there is one of my dream guitars" and he looked at the price and went "yea you're going to have to work a little more for that one haha". Anyway, awesome looking guitar.

    Instruments get unrealistically pricey

Jerry Jones guitars are great. They are better built versions of Danelectro style guitars.

The Evets CO. bought the orig. Danelectro designs and began re-making Dan-O's in 1999. They then sued Jerry Jones for making the models. This is why Jerry Jones had to later alter the body shape and a few things, on their models.

Side by side, the Jerry Jones are better made and also cost a bit more. The Evets era Danelectro guitars are pretty good - I own two myself.

A Gretsch Country Gent is on my short-list for NEXT purchase. My buddy has a 1964 Gretsch Country Gent that I covet. GLORIOUS guitar.
