    1) No worries.
    2) Regardless of the # of guitars I have or my financial situation, I still should have it.
Plus, the guitar wouldn't be lonely - as I've other guitar friends here.
    3) Lucky for you, I have morals and couldn't steal it. (Damn Morals)

Lmao. It would have 2 better friends in my guitars y'know . Never mind your morals, you'd have to find where I live first lol...or more precisely, where I'd be keeping it

I saw Edge show up at one of Danny Lanois shows... Hollywood, June 2003 and play 3 tunes with him.

    Falling At Your Feet
    Still Water (slide)
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Here's a pic of Edge during "Still Water"

He was using an orange Les Paul Standard into an EH Deluxe Memory Man delay into a vintage Vox AC30 and STILL... sounded like "THE EDGE" (tm)

Ha, awesome stuff. Nice pic too! I Still Haven't Found... doesn't sound too good on an Epiphone LP lol...it sounds fine on my Ridgewood Strat. as long as I get the effects correct etc.

EDIT - Reminds me, must find my slide one of these days...what guitar is Danny playing, dost thou knoweth?

That is one of Danny's Gibson Firebird VII. (Firebird VII - Three pickups, Tune-o-matic bridge and Maestro "Lyre" Vibrola tailpiece. Gold hardware) Lovely sounding guitar.

Danny has recently been playing a cherry finish Firebird VII too.D

Mostly, I've seen Danny use his 1956 LP Goldtop (w/P-90 p'ups) and the tobacco Firebird VII. at shows I've attended.

That's the bugger, I was thinking Thunderbird but that's the bass model isn't it? I remember going into one of the decent guitars shops in Norwich some time last year and seeing a gorgeous deep red Firebird hanging from one of the many wall displays and wishing I had a bit of cash on me lol...

By the way here's a pic of my mate's PRS that I was referring to earlier (or at least, a pic of the model he has, not the actual guitar itself lol!)

You can probably see what it is I don't like about the look, but the humbuckers sound schveet as. I was interested to read that PRS guitars have PRS-designed humbuckers too, rather than other sort of makes...
  6. Yeah, PRS makes their own stuff. They sound great. But yes, visually - body shapewise - they look a bit generic.

Not to mention the pointy devil horn headstock! lol. A bit too typical heavy rock'n'roll/metally for my liking...

Nickelback uses them - Nuff said!!!

Like I said before, and as you know, they sound great. And sound should be the key factor. But yes, we all do judge guitars a bit unfavorably by body shape and color.

I have a dream... that one day a guitar will be judged by it's tone and not it's finish, wood compostion or body style... I have a dream..."
  9. Did I mention, Edge's guitar and piano sound AMAZING on the OCTOBER remaster. LOVELY.

Seems to be a bit more definition in the drums too... not as muddy.

Errrr... well, then again... I was just listening to the BONUS disc version of OCT... so (duh to me) obviously it would sound different.

Aha, it's just how I am. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the technical details and aspects of guitars, it's just that I don't feel comfortable playing them. And yes, amen to Martin Luther "Jeff" King's famous immortal words!

No you didn't, but now you have, and yes I want to get them but am skint at the moment lol. The more people go on about them, the more I feel sad about my relative state of abject poverty...(relative being the operative word!)

Another question re. Edge - are you aware if he's ever played Bad on anything but a Strat.?

SKINT - I'm sorry to hear that. I have been there. I too was once a starving, Top Ramen eating, old ragged clothes wearing, college student. Hopefully, finances will get better for you... you're a good enough lad... although I am still more worth of receiving Edge Clapton Strat

BAD - I've never seen him use anything but a black and white Stratocaster. (Could be a few different of the B&W Strat's but a B&W Strat all the same.

Listen to the June 1992 era recordings of BAD. Rotterdam comes to mind... Stockholm too...
Edge was using the WH-1 Whammy Pedal during "Bad" adding some extra "fun" to the song.

I LOVE that he did that, it sounded great and he proceeded to STOP doing it after the Euro leg of ZOO TV. "What The Edge"?!?!?!?!?! He should do that again! It was neat!

Ha, I need the Clapton Strat. more than you nur nur n-nur nur!

And re. Bad I AGREE! I first came across it on the 2nd Stockholm ZooTV show and still love it. Sort of Morello-esque modulation type thingy, think thouest not? He added some funk to it, in any case

That said, my favourite version of Bad is the Dublin New Year 1990 show, always blows me away (despite the lack of snippets) plus the 2005-10-20 Washington version where he starts singing People Have The Power at full pelt. Aforementioned Euro ZooTV renditions still kick arse though, fo sho!
