    glad to help... Behringer makes some great things. I am not sure about this delay. Best would be to find a new one in a shop and try it. if you like it, go back and buy the used one.

  3. I use a DD-20 for my delay and I love it. I've read and heard it's the best delay in a pedal, but thats opinion. The fairly new Nova delay pedal is pretty sweet I heard too. But I agree with stratdubh. Find it in a store and try it out. And if it's for U2 (I'll assume it is) make sure you get one with Mod delay in it. I thought regular delay sounded perfect and fine, but when you start playing with mod delay, it makes a hell of a difference concerning Edge delays.

  5. It's funny when I was younger and had less income I always wanted to buy things new. Now that I'm older I'm all about "the deal" so if I can get something used I will. Especially if it has personality like a stompbox with chips in the finish. Everything has a story.

    The SD-1 (sans knobs) and DSD-2 I have today I got in 1996 when I traded this guy some cheap Boss multi-effects floor unit for them. He also gave me this insanely ugly Strat-like guitar. It had this metal flake paint job which could only be described as "dirty panty pink" but only on one side and the neck was unfinished and filthy with these fat frets. The cool thing was it had Lace Sensor Red pickups and had a real bluesy sound. I ended up giving that guitar to a friend of mine as a going away present.
  6. For cheap stomp boxes I'd always go Danelectro. The mini pedals (except for the overdrives and distortions) are awesome bang for the buck, and the new cool cat series are made of metal and have got true bypass. My delay is the PB&J mini pedal which sounds fantastic and only lacks tap tempo. It's got two quite small foot switches, so you gotta watch where you step.

    True, some of the Dan-O pedals can be decent. The "Fish and Chips" EQ is quite good for the 40.00-ish bucks it costs. But the mini's are hit and miss. And, they are plastic.

    No surprise that the OD's and Dist's mini's are not so good as the regular size Danelectro OD's and Dist's are not so good.

    I have a reg. Cool Cat Chorus. Lovely analog chorus - thich and rich. And I've the Dan Echo. Both can be found at a fair rate used. Perhaps look at those before the smaller, plastic Danelectro mini's

    Have you ever seen a Danelectro mini pedal broken in two by a foot stomp? I've never seen that. It's plastic, but solid. Can't imagine breaking one with my feet. You'd need a hammer and some determination to break it. Only the control potis are a little small and likely to break when kicked with power - but they send a protecting plastic control shield with each pedal. Anyway, these discussions are the reason why they invented the new Cool Cat series - made of metal with true bypass and the controls at the back. if I didn't already own a set of minis I'd definitely get myself a set of Cool Cats.

    I think all of the mini pedals are quite good except the distortions. Of course, the bigger Dan-O ones are most likely even better if you desire to spend more money. The minis are good enough for me and incredibly cheap. Plus - I like the mini board. Small, well protecting and easy to use.

    The Slash Goldtop models are said to be the best, but they cost an arm and a leg lol...Seth Duncan pickups et al...

    ...now I've restrung my Epi. LP Custom, it actually sounds pretty good lol . TO be fair, it's not like it sounded that shite in the first place, but replacing the stock strings with Roto Reds seems to have worked a treat

  10. I love my Epi LPC. I love every bit of it, sometimes i don't agree with the sound, but for the most part I do, and that's what matters. In fact I just perfected my sound for 2 songs. This afternoon I'll be using the Epi to make a couple vids, New York and Out of Control, so I'll keep you guys posted on those.

    I've seen Danelectro mini's crack. I've seen the knobs come off. I've seen the switches fail and break off.

    I am not saying the mini's are all bad. But it's a bit like Payless Shoes... good for some wear but they are hardly Feragamo. Same with the Dan-O mini's. When you pay less - you get less.
