Cool. Can we hear some? Love to hear you work.
  2. That's cool guys. I play guitar, but I don't think I'm too bad at singing either. I can't sing Pride or anything like that, maybe once in a blue moon I can hit that note. But I'm not bad otherwise. But it's true. Playing one instrument does help you play others. Especially going from guitar to Bass or vice versa. I went to my buddy's house the other day, he plays bass. I had never picked up a bass in my life (besides this dumb experience I once had with a bass, don't ask) and I started playing it and coming up with cool Bass lines. Music is universal, and I think that applies to playing instruments as well.

Perhaps you could hit the high notes in Pride NOW if you tuned down to Db like U2 have been doing for the past few tours.
  4. In 6th grade beginning band, I told the band director that I wanted to be a drummer, but he made me play clarinet instead. (bastard) In 9th grade, I saved up enough money to buy a drumset and taught myself how to play drums. I played in several bands and eventually picked up guitar too. I don't play all that much anymore, but I still am competent with drums and guitar and bass. I can fake my way through the piano too.

I'm hoping that my friend Rob (U2YardMan) will teach me how to play piano, therefore, saving me $80-$100 a month on lessons

lol, I think you'd have more success gelding yourself with a mallet whilst singing...

I've tried singing along during Vertigo versions, and maybe Elevation too? Either way, I can't hit those notes...it's tough for me hitting the high-ish parts on WGRYWH lol.

speaking of Db, is that what Edge tunes his Tele to during SBS, on Slane? well, I'm sure the whole Elevation tour, and other tours, but just to be 100% sure, Slane

Yeah, he tunes that Tele. down 1 and a half steps (3 semitones) so he's playing in Ab minor.

Too right lol, I am gonna bother tuning any of my guitars down that far just to play along to some versions of SBS or Pride lol.

I'd do it for SBS, but not Pride

Pride's a great song to play! As is SBS! I'd just rather play them in higher keys lol.
