1. Can we keep this to discussion about the original article and the list therein, Achtung Baby's place in it or otherwise please?

Not a discussion about JT v AB or any other album. We have other topics for that and this one will be closed if you don't keep on topic.

    Ta.
  2. Surprised to see that JT came in at #63, personally I think it should be a lot higher BUT that said, I can't claim to know many of the albums on the list

To be honest, the one that struck me was Tom Waits with 'Rain Dogs' coming in at #16...now there is one strange artist lol. Glad to see Coldplay come in with AROBTTH (#49), although I still need to get that bloody album! The only other album that I think should have come in on there would be Absolution (Muse) - I think it's one of the best albums of the last god knows how many years

    Good call

BHAR too - just as good for me.

  4. I love BHAR, but I just think that Absolution is their best work - whereas BHAR has some killer songs (most of the album, to be fair), I think Absolution just has everything going for it. Terrific album, can't praise it enough (I think I have more of an attachment to it because, as with pretty much all of U2's stuff plus a couple of other bands, it was an album that brought me back to music after I had lost interest in it.

PS - it took me a while to work out what BHAR was referring to lol, I have a terrible habit of getting "Supermassive Blackhole" and "Black Holes and Revelations" mixed up in so far as names go...
  5. Happy 22 Birthday, Mr. AB
