1. I'm looking for a copy of 'Pride(In the Name of Love)' that features samples of Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I have a dream..." speech in between verses. I'm almost positive it is a live recording but I could be wrong. If anyone out there can point me in the right direction on this, it would be much appreciated. I love that song and this particular version if even more powerful and moving!!!

  2. Hey, welcome to the site! Unfortunately, I don't have what your looking for. Want to introduce yourself?
  3. I remember someting like that. I think it was during Zoo TV. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe they did this for the Zoo TV tour. i think they did this at every show, if I'm not mistaken.

The speech you're referring to is more commonly referred to as "the mountaintop speech" which he delivered on April 3, 1968, in Memphis, TN the night before he was asassinated. He delivered the speech at the Mason Temple (Church of God in Christ) in support of the sanitation workers strike at the time. The clip that U2 uses during some of their performances of "Pride" is taken from the last paragraph of the late Dr. King's speech. You can read the full text and watch the video clip here at the following link:

Like Steve said, they included snippets from the "I have a dream..." speech on the ZooTV tour for pretty much every performance, but also on a lot of Elevation performances. Your best bet would be to try the ZooTV shows, though.

I don't know about a performance with said speech in between EVERY verse, but on ZooTV they'd include it before the last refrain of the chorus; the band would stop playing apart from Edge who would mute the chords, Bono would say "let the king speak" and a video of the speech would play behind them on the stage, before Bono shouts "Amen" and they start singing again..
  9. Dublin has it, just like many others.
