Yeah, about that language thing. You should hear what I say in the scene shop if I measure something wrong!

Probably a good call on the car thing. What else is new in the world of J.H.?

Ahh! So weird! You know my last name! (i suppose it isn't that shocking, given my screenname.)

Well......quite a bit is going on. Pretty rough stuff, health wise for my girlfriend. It just seems that neither of us can catch a break this year. Also trying to figure out what I'm doing in life, thinking about possibly leaving LA.
  3. Oh noez (about the GF). Hope it's nothing too too serious (*sends positive vibes your way Where do you wanna go? I'd kill to get out of this town! Okay, not kill, 'cause that's just wrong and all but you know what I mean.

Pretty serious stuff actually....I'm still trying to process it all. (I'll tell ya over facebook if you'd like, don't really feel like announcing it just yet here). And, if I leave LA, I think I'll go back to Portland...the best place on earth! Seriously, I love and miss it so much.
  5. Yeah, send me a message on FB. *hugs to you both*

I, too, adore Portland. My bestest girl friend from college lives there and I try to visit every couple years. Oh yeah, we were both born there! Portland, FTW. How do you cope without clouds and rain? I lived in SF for 3 years and still miss it 13 years later - JEEZ I'm old!

I think we scared the kids away.

Yup. We scared the young whipper-snappers away.

I really do miss the rain and the clouds. I never thought I'd say that, but it's the truth. I've just had a lot of time to think over things in the past two months, and I'm wondering what exactly it is that I'm doing down here in LA. I want a family someday, but....can't imagine doing that down here. And I can't imagine my girlfriend's dad would be too impressed when he asked me "how will you provide for my daughter?" and I say "I'm waiting to make it big in Hollywood!'
  7. OOH! I had no idea you were 'one of those' (an aspiring actor, that is). The plot thickens. We have so many 'connections' (not in a creepy way at all). My cousin lived in LA for years, auditioning and such. He and his GF finally realized they were getting too old for that and moved to Portland. Now they're super happy.

Not to say that you'll never make it big... just an alternate reality.
  8. And a side note: Do dad's really ask that, in this day and age. I don't think my dad would ever have dreamed of asking Mr.Z that, before he was Mr.Z. Of course now he yaps on and on, giving him career advice!

Aspiring screenwriter, actually. I've lived here 2.5 years, and it's been a good experience, but I'm starting to really question what I want out of life, and if I want to rent an apartment for the rest of my life.

I don't know if he'll really ask that, I mean....hopefully he'll know me well enough by then that he'll know what my plans are and how I'd provide for her. Maybe it's just tradition?

ps - they are British, if that matters?

LOL! I like it, the location, that is.

Just came across this, a clip/leak/thingy

I know what you mean about renting and raising a family and whatnot. I thought Tucson would be a good place for that (raising a family) but I'm not so sure. At least the house was cheap! When would you move, if you do? Or is this just a twinkling of a thought?
