Ehm..been to Amstelveen today, a city beneath the smell of Amsterdam. Did some shopping with the family, bought October remastered, Who's Next from The Who, and 4 DVD's (The Kingdom, Blood Diamond, Flag of our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima). And this very evening, I visited my brother and pregnant sister in law while we were sitting in front of the chimney.

    You?

The smell of Amsterdam? Sounds like productive shopping there! The Kingdom and Blood Diamond are great films (Dad bought the two Clint Eastwood films, but I've never got round to watching them)

I got up, had some breakfast, went over a mate's, drove to work (with L-plates and Dad in the passenger seat) without stalling once - which, so everyone knows, is a record in our Punto. I've been learning since last November in a diesel, so it's a piece of piss to drive but having to then swap into a piddly little petrol engine is a different kettle of fish for me. BUT NOW someone explained to me the basic technique of pulling away in a petrol car, no worries lol! Including an expertly performed hillstart . Work itself was fine, if very hot - sports halls generally are and then came home early. And here I am now! lol.
  6. Hey Casper....Harry.

Watched both these films in the cinema...their greatness is the reason why I bought them. Must see them again.

I remember when I changed from diesel to petrol. I had my lessons in some VW Golf, fine car, but when I got my license, I needed to cope with several petrol cars (Toyota Corola, Ford Mondeo and Hyundai Getz from my brothers and parents). Felt weird but like you said, when you get hold of the 'trick', it's easy.
Good to hear everything works out fine for you.

Yeah, twas great to be back in the Punto after a fair while, if only slightly nervous lol. From going from stalling everytime you had to pull away to a almost-flawless drive, you think it's too good to be true lol...

Now we're talking about driving...I discovered that Two Hearst Beat As One is a good song to drive on. Works fantastic as long as the police isn't luring around you.
  11. hello hello
  12. Speaking of driving (and therefore cars)....I've got someone that was supposed to come look at my car for sale today.....but he's 25 minutes late.
