Jamie Foxx is a taxi driver who picks up Tom Cruise, who turns out to be a contract killer who forces him to drive around LA. Really thought it was good

Yes yes...there's some light at the end of the tunnel (re: I'm starting to remember it). One of the better Cruise films for sure.

Indeed, makes an interesting change when TC plays a bad guy and gets shot lol (that should ring bells, I dunno whether he's ever played another role like it!). Definitely moving away from his typecast roles, although I must admit that I like the Mission Impossible series...the 1st was the best, though the 3rd was pretty good. The 2nd, meh, didn't really get too caught up in it.

Ha. never saw MI part 2, did see 1 and 3 though. The Cruise film I dislike the most is The Last Samurai. A great film for sure, but they never should have contracted Cruise for that role.

Hmm, I wasn't really pushed either way, I just liked the imagery of the film lol. I agree, good film, but I wasn't too bothered about Cruise for better or worse; I was in shock for the rest of the film after Billy Connolly got killed off 20 minutes in lol...

Haha Nahh..the best Cruise films are still MI, methinks. War of the Worlds was fun too btw.

  7. Ja, das ist uber SO much better than the original lol...

  8. Never forget the first time I saw it, in the cinema. When that tripod came out of the earth and that big horn was blown, I really thought: 'Wow, these next 1.5 hours are gonna be fun!'.

Ha, yeah I can imagine that.

    *thinks*

Last film I saw in the cinema was Indy 4...kinda liked that. Last time I genuinely like you were referring too was probably Star Wars Episode 2, when Yoda got his lightsabre out. Happy days...on second thoughts though, the Bourne films were always awesome in cinema, and I can't remember when the 3rd LOTR film was released?

3th LOTR? 2004? 2005? I dunno...never saw that one in cinema. Saw them all on DVD. The Bournes are great too, love them. And Star Wars... They say Lucas is working on a Star Wars serie.

I saw all of the LOTR films in cinema (saw the first one 3 times ), haven't watched them in ages though. I must admit that I prefer the books, but the 3rd one has to be one of the great films, even if it drags on for fucking years come the end lol...

Ok, now THAT I'm interested in. As long as they don't annihilate it, I'm all in for that, I used to love reading all the Expanded Universe novels (although that said, there was a lot of inclusion re. the main characters post-ROTJ) - speaking of which, I have GOT to get my arse on the sofa and watch them soon...one of my mates at 6th form watched all 6 on the day/night before we got our A-level results so he could take his mind off them; 15 hours solid watching lol...nutter.
