Ha, I know what you mean. I don't necessarily worry about mistakes because every one fucks up, even the great men themselves, it's more when my strings are out of tune that I have a panic attack lol...

I'm just a bit of a perfectionist lol...and I can't exactly relax when playing U2 because of that lol...

Guess we've overrun a bit then lol...

Ah, I'm a perfectionist too, but in different senses lol. I'd rather capture the actual soul or essence of the music than the mere technicalities, hence why I'll often play some songs acoustically or on the piano.

words of wisdom. I play a mean WTSHNN and COBL on my guitar but I don't have all the equipment neccesary. I feel that I can physically play those songs very well and if I had Edges equipment I'd probably master those 2 songs. Pride seems like another easy one to do.

alright sounds good enough. I was wondering what the cut off point was for GC anyways

COBL sounds shit on any of my guitars to be honest, equipment or no, because ideally you need one of those thumbnail slides that "Dave" uses. I've tried using a normal slide, sounds flipping terrible but that said, I'm a real shit slide guitarist lol...I'd like to think I do a pretty decent WTSHNN too, but like you my gear isn't really ideal. Oh for a second delay unit lol...I'd say my best song playing wise would be UTEOTW, although I'd be willing to say that I reckon I'm good with a fair few U2 numbers, Electric Co. and the Fly being another two

Can't seem to master UTEOTW. I would love to get it pat down but it just doesn't come out right. That and Ultra Violet. I won't even attempt The Fly. Sounds like shit when I try it. I've also tried When I Look At The World which on paper seems like a really really easy song to do on guitar.....but there's nothing easy when it comes to Edge. I Will Follow is another one.
  7. New York is another really good example where you just need the right equipment to get that sound. Have you tried out THBAO?

Never been able to do Ultra Violet properly, but I still love playing the main riff either way lol. If I can get some decent recording equipment together, i.e. one of those microphone jacks that links a guitar plug to a normal earphone sized jack so I can stick my guitar straight into my computer mike socket, so I can record guitar parts without any background crap lol. When I Look At The World, NEVER tried that - I guess that it's not too hard for the most part, but the opening riff thingy just sounds a bit mad to be a simple learn-by-ear job lol. I Will Follow is possibly one of their easiest songs to play I'd say, once you've cracked it it's just great fun

Neither are songs I've tried lol. THBAO because it's just never one that I've ever felt particularly inclined to play, but one day I will. And New York, my problem is that it's too much like the Beautiful Day verse guitar part, which is one I find awkward. Plus I'd only really wanna play it on an Explorer
