Well, I head back for my 2nd session of out-patient therapy tomorrow, so that's exciting. I have to take the public bus there (TOTALLY different in Los Angeles than it is in Europe, or even NY for that matter), but it's a short ride, so I should be fine.

Good stuff mate, good luck with that tomorrow mate . I rarely get the bus, a) because there aren't many in my area ANYWAY, and b) it's so much slower than the train, and I only really need to get the train to and from Norwich anyway. It's a small enough city that you can walk to most parts in decent time

I just realized that your location says "East of England" and here I am giving myself a pat on the back for seemingly remembering where you were from. oh well.

The buses in LA are pretty shady. How do I say this without coming off like a total ass.....it's usually really poor people riding the bus. LA is a driving town. Everyone has a car, sometimes 2. It's pretty wasteful actually.

Ahaha! I'd thought I'd forgotten, hence I was metaphysically giving you a pat on the back too lol. We're both as bad as each other, no worries . Y'mean the less well off usually resort to the bus because they can't afford to run cars?

Yup. I suppose one could say this about every town, but there's such a huge distance between the absolute highs of extravagance and riches compared to the lows of the low (interestingly enough, called Skid Row.) It's crazy how large the spectrum is here in LA.
  5. Folks, haven't been that active this eve, but I feel it's a moral obligation to say goodbye, for I'm going to sleep now. Have a nice eve or night or whatever time you're in right now.
  6. Hello hello everyone

Indeed, I can imagine a city of LA's size would have a hell of a lot going on, and the culture must be pretty mad...

    Laters Casper!

    Hey there

Yes....it's hard to explain, but it's one of the reasons why I'm considering a move back to my hometown of Portland (as mentioned in the FotM interview...)

Aha, always the one to bring up his moment of fame in U2start-dom , but yeah, I can appreciate that; didn't you move to LA for the new job? Or have I got lost somewhere?
