1. I remember we discussed UTEOTW elsewhere in this thread, and someone mentioned that the version from the Boston DVD is the best DVD version of UTEOTW currently doing the rounds, and that Slane was edited to remove the Two Tribes snippet - what's to say that the version from Boston hasn't been similarly edited? I mean, considering the whole of the Boston DVD (much as I love it) has been edited in many shapes and forms, namely the sequence of tracks, since it's a compilation of different shows rather than just one?

I think UTEOTW is fairly untouched as far as the audio goes. and the track sequencing is in order with the exception of the songs they omitted. A regular setlist just culled from two different nights. Great dvd IMO, for what it is.

    EDIT: love the avatar btw

  3. The first three songs are pro-shot's though, I think. I can rip them sometime and upload it all.

    1. Shes A Mystery To Me
    2. Beautiful Day
    3. Out Of Control

From what night is that performance exactly? You could compare it with the bootleg.

  5. UTEOTW is from the 6th, Bono cam footage from the 9th

    Cheers for that Jake

Yeah I meant like the sequence of songs was patched together rather than just one show without tampering (although it does run fairly smoothly and, bar the really obvious editing in Gone, could fool the casual observer into thinking it was a genuine show, although any one with a bit of nouse would point out that a post-Lovetown show without One in the setlist doesn't exist lol!), and yeah I agree, I love it as a DVD, watched it the other night

or Pride. . . (hasn't been missed at many gigs)
  8. That's exactly what I hate about Boston and U2 as a company...please release genuine DVD's of real shows, not some compilation of several nights. And when they do, have the guts to say it and don't waste time and money to make it look like one show.

U2 are great artists, is it that difficult to record a gig, cut the (copyright sensitive) snippets and release it?

  9. Nah it has, opening night of the tour

EDIT - my bad, I read that as "any gigs"...
  10. just ordered the Chicago DVD

  11. Not a very great dvd imo. Video material is not stunning and sound is a bit crappy. Performances are decent, Electric Co, Zoo Station, The Fly and Yahweh are great.

I ordered it from an online store and it was the only U2 DVD from their offer which I still don't have
