1. There's a lot of bullshit in the news world on U2, maybe this can be a thread to collect all the tabloid and bullshit news items that are spread on U2.

I will start with a message on Bono's weight

    Bono Told To Lose Weight

New York, NY (BANG) - Bono has reportedly been ordered to lose weight before U2 release their new album and start a proposed world tour next year.

The singer - who has been entertaining celebrity friends including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Robert De Niro on his yacht in France this summer - has been told he needs to lose his excess pounds before the band start their promotional duties again.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "U2 have an album coming out around January. And then the band is going on another world tour in March and April - so the boys have been told to start exercising all the summer weight off."
  2. lol....love this topic already...

According to the pics he should lose some indeed...

I found that strange too... Now I except the album in the next 2-3 months and we will see what will come.

    LOL

    poor Bono lol
  7. He's also being 'blamed' for 'leaking' the new tunes by playing them IN HIS OWN HOME!!!!
  8. A source. Bullshit!

  9. If they can't tell me who the source is, then officially it's crap.

I laugh openly at those who actually believe these stories (and those who write them too). This is a great reason why tabloids suck. The sad thing is, when people read these stories they actually believe them over what the subject in question says - and has ruined things for people.

Absolute fucking disgraces - and they should all be shut down. Remember this, anyone?

I wholeheartedly agree, I think the tabloid papers are a disgrace, on the whole - a large majority of their news has very little substance, and the stuff that actually does is usually reported by everyone else in better detail. Unfortunately, the free press is an undesirable product of the right to free speech as a whole - the extent to which such speech is truly free is a matter of debate for elsewhere, and I don't mean to dwell on it, but it's the lesser of two evils...
