1. Tired and slightly in pain, but otherwise good - would it be impertinent if I were to ask what's got your goose?

Did I tell you about my AS-results farce? If not, basically our marking got screwed in Applied IT (Double Award). We were entered for just the single as we'd only done the 3 modules for the single as our teacher was absent for a vast period of time. Well, it seems that this year we're going to re-do the modules they fucked up as well as the full double award A-level. This means we'll be doing in effect 4 A-levels in IT alone. I'm also doing maths and general studies, so my tally is up to 6. I'm going resit 2 of the three modules from my AS maths, so I'm on nearly 7 A-levels. And to add insult to injury, my sixth form are adamant that we are to continue with an Re Extended Project (which is compulsory) making my total nearly 8 a-levels. This RE however is a load of bollocks as it's only worth the equivalent of an AS and isn't even recognised by most Universities.

    Grrrr.

Bloody hell. Tis clear why you're pissed off...there surely must be some kind of appeal system to refuse to do that RE project thing, compulsory or no - making you do the equivalent of 8 A-levels is out of order in big time, especially through no fault of your own.

The fucked up marking is kind of in hand, they're trying to get some one down from Edexhell in november to mark our work in advance, under the scrutiny of our IT teachers who will give them shit. This means that if they approve of the marking, it can't be changed. but even still, I'll have one hell of a workload and for others in my class, I fear it could be as much as 10.

I checked the NUS website, funnily we don't have a special union for students so I contacted the National union for advice.

If it does turn out we have to do the 8000 word dissertation on top of proper A-levels, then we will make our last year very tough for our sixth form. I'm just fed up of it all. If it wasn't for Uni and the jobs that follow, I'd have quit sixth form in christmas of last year.

I can appreciate that mate, you certainly make it sound as if you've been landed one beastly short straw - I don't really know what else to say other than I hope things work out for the best. Just to be vindinctive for a moment, perhaps you should just give the sixth form hell anyway lol...
