1. U2 have always been pretty good at throwing in surprises with bringing up old material in a new tour. I loved the 'ZOO TV' sets in the Vertigo Tour and the 'Boy' Sets as well - As an Aussie I was very dissapointed that they tried to focus on ATYCLB to make amends for skipping us for the Elevation tour as we lost The Electric Co!

For some reasons I have a suspicion that some of the main classics might be given a rest. I'm talking about Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet the Blue Sky (Be played at pretty much every concert since it was written), New Years Day, End of the World.

Realistically they will never cut Streets or One but I wouldn't be surpised if songs that are cut make way for a return to the PopMart era. It's time for Mofo and Last Night on Earth to be played in their live glory again!!

You do realise that people will riot if they don't hear One, WOWY, BD, Streets at a U2 show right? Not everyone has listened to a hundred bootlegged shows, or been to so many that these get boring.

They should keep the fan favourites and drop the obvious songs, such as Pride (definitely, without a doubt), BTBS, I Will Follow, New Years Day, Elevation etc.

And all the lesser stuff from recent albums as well of course.

With regards to the tour name, whats the current fav? the Stand Up Tour?

Your first question - Yes I do realise. These are my selections, no-one else's. I concede that I have F.A. chance of my wishes coming true for the very reason that you state.

ISecondly, I'd be happy with the "Horizon Tour".
  6. Bullet The Blue Sky
    Elevation
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    With Or Without You
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    Mysterious Ways
    New Year's Day
    I Will Follow
And of course ... The Saints Are Coming.

    We are of one mind.

  8. Yeah I think so
By the way, I don't hate this songs, but I think they got more attention than the other songs in the recent tour(s). And they're a bit tiring to hear after two tours, and over 200 concerts.

I don't hate any of the songs that I've listed either (except for Sometimes..) In fact I love almost all of them. But they've been around too long. Pride and One in particular have never had a break from setlists.

And there is no reason that they have to ALL of them everynight. Rotate them like many other major artists do. It might make hearing one of them exciting again.

Yes, that's it! That's the key. I think Sunday Bloody Sunday can be exciting again, if they play it on the next tour, but just like Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses in the Vertigo Tour.

Pride DID have a break early on, during 2001 Elevation tour. They were not playing it for the first 8 shows of Elevation. And when that occured, I read lots of U2 forums where people were upset by that.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

I agree with most here, that some songs shouldn't be played every night... rotation would be a good thing.

What songs? Sunday Bloody Sunday one night and Bullet the Blue Sky the next and New Years Day the night after that, wouldn't be a horrible idea.

And I am in the I've heard "One" alot club. I am not saying never play it but playing some less played songs some nights instead of "One" - I'd welcome.
