1. I missed that same spot for a few minutes, fuck. Why did I go with Remy to get some info about gate opening?!?! argh! ...

  2. it's incredible how much that can bother you, right? I've been searching that video for a zillion times to find myself, because when those people come running into the circle and party because they made it, I'm behind them at the "fence" in row 1 already -- makes me bite my nails I can't really see myself lol same goes for the Dublin crowd...oh well, missed chances to become famous

btw, Remy's also on the video... where were you then? searching for Gerard?
  3. Nah, when Gerard appeared behind that girl I was with Remy searching for some info about the gate opening, the inner circle etc. But Remy appears a few minutes later, when I had left them both and went in search of some water. I prefer not having died of dehydration than appearing in the clip, though
  4. fair point I ended up sitting in the queue at a point where there was a coke and water seller right across the street....bless him he saved my life.... even though he made a fortune with my desperate attempts to not die from dehydration in that Spanish heat
  5. Barcelona's heat is not as tough as Madrid's, though. They have 34-36ºC max. (that 30th of June, we had about 32-33ºC with a 80% of humidity), but here, every summer we have one full month (from 20th of June to about 30th of July) over 40ºC ....... Lovely, lovely Madrid
  6. It was too hot for me that day. Just was not prepared for it. I was in bad shape when i got outside. Had to lie down for a while and ended up vomiting. Ended up sleeping for most of the next day

    We ain't built for heat
  8. Noone`s built for 35C degrees and 80 percent of humidity, it is physically devastating. I understand Gerard.

  9. Sorry you felt that bad afterwards, Gerard I remember a couple that had been standing next to me inside the circle for hours... and at some point, she got ash pale and started to sway, and her boyfriend/husband called for the medics and they brought her out of the GA.... that was no more than half an hour before U2 came on stage. I felt so sorry for her, the whole day queueing in the heat and then she missed the concert

Sergio, I'm not sure I'll ever go to Madrid then Barcelona was already too hot for me. We have 35 and more degrees here as well in the summer, but the humidity is different. If I had to chose between the heat of Spain and the rain of Ireland....the latter means less life danger for me
  10. to go back on topic... it is my personal U2 anniversary today

on June 12, 2005 --> my very first U2 concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany
on June 12, 2006 --> my first U2 related tattoo

and on June 12, 2008 --> met Bono and Edge at HQ in Dublin

even though we'd spent more than 13 hours in the cold rain and felt like dying and all.... we saw them all, the band, the crew... and finally met Bono and Edge, in the middle fo the night (they were the very last to leave HQ) today, 2 years ago it was...
