I always wanted to play like Slash like on the MTV 1995 performance - with that awesome top-hat from November Rain.
That said, and looking at your avatar... really made me laugh

I'm not that amazing either, I never took a guitar class, and all I know how to play I have learnt from my spare time, the internet and my ears

    Thanks, Johnny

That guy in my avatar (Buckethead) is a brilliant guitarist. I think since 1998 he's recorded over 150 albums.
  3. LOL. Quick mental calculus told me that means 1 album each 20 days. Crazy...
  4. I've checked that Buckethead guy and... lol he plays fantasticly (scent of Red Hot and Led Zeppelin I smell there?) but I think I will have nightmares with the guy itself. He kinda scares me with that mask, and the KFC bucket on his head is not funny but scaring too...

Buckethead himself looks creepy - but he no longer wears the bucket specifically with FUNERAL written on it. But the stuff he comes up with - is magnificent.

He actually recorded a few tracks with Guns N Roses (or what's left of it) for Chinese Democracy in 2006 and 2007 - which I think maybe one or two made it on the final record. He left, supposedly, because he wanted to record inside a chicken coop. That's a sign of a complete nutter.

Probably it's been around one album per month, or 16 on average a year - and sometimes releasing up to 13 in one shot. While GnR can only release one in 15 years.

If the quality of all of them is aproximately the same, and quite high, then the guy is a genious But he's mental from what I've seen/heard...
  7. Awesome photos Sergio!
  8. Sergio, very awesome pictures man

  9. As a fellow guitar nut, I'm appalled that you posted a pic of Edge playing WOWY with a custom Squier whilst talking about the Fenders he uses to play Streets lol...

...on a more normal note, great pics Drew and Sergio

First songs I taught myself on guitar were One and Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, so bollocks to that theory

I knew it was WOWY (I didn't know it's a Squier, in fact I don't know how to get the difference between a Strat and a Squier unless I have them on my hands ), but I just couldn't find any image of Edge playing Streets...

PS. Isn't WOWY played with an infinite guitar??

The main reason I know that it's a Squier is because it came up ages ago on here and we came to the conclusion that it was a) WOWY 'cause both Edge and Bono have guitars and b) it's a Squier because (according to Jeff) Edge rigged up the original Infinite Guitar system to a customised Squier during ZooTV before he changed to using the eBow in conjunction with the Les Paul. Nowadays he uses one of his many Fernandes guitars with a built-in sustainer pickup.
  12. Nice info, Harry. Thanks
