what they said

"The Artane band was too rigid for me. I was in for three days, and they told me to get my hair cut. And at the time, it was my pride and joy - you know, shoulder-length golden locks. So I got it cut a few inches and they told me to cut it more. So I told them to stick it, and I left!" - Larry on being kicked out of the military band the Artane Boys' Band

did you know

Larry Mullen Jr. is well-known for his dislike of the Passengers album. In 2002, when reflecting on the album, he mentioned while it hadn't grown on him, Miss Sarajevo (with Luciano Pavarotti) 'is a classic'. The song was played subsequently on the 2005 - 2006 Vertigo Tour, on the 360 Tour (2009 - 2011) and also on the Joshua Tree 2017 tour (even though it was tiitled "Miss Syria" then).
