  1. well, it's my first post, and let me sau that this is an amazing site. than i would like to know if exists a bootleg with a performance of elivs presley and america. given the "particulare" nature of the song i would say no, but who knows

  4. Elvis Presley and America never been performed.

    The music track for Elvis Presley and America is a Brian Eno trick. It is essentially A Sort Of Homecoming track - slowed down & backwards. Proving yet again, Brian Eno is a genius.

    Eno probably meant it to be an exercise to stimulate creativity, as Eno is want to do. But to him, it turned out pretty great and he talked the band into including it on the album.

    They put the track up and had Bono 'free-form' sing to it. I don't think even Bono realized that it was the A Sort of Homecoming track until he was later told.

    LOL!!! I didn't know it either is that real?? Is it really ASOH turned backwards!?!? OMG i must be aknob but I didn't knew it, really!! Thanks a lot!!

    you can tell by the drums mainly. one of my favorite tracks If i recall correctly Eno told Bono to just make up words, I don't think Bono was intending it to be an album track but I believe Eno forced them to put on the album
