Yep, I certainly think so. CP's music is way more intimate than U2's...
And it's not just the venue, it also has to do with atmosphere, setlists, special effects etc.

special effects? one week ago I watched Coldplay live from Toronto, 2006 and man, I'd never seen better light effects in an arena (the best were ZooTV of course, but those were mainly stadiums)

people buy the tickets and want the show to be as long as possible. don't tell me you would preffer 1 hour long intimate gig to 2,5 hours long show with both great rock moments and emotional moments which usually come at the end of the show

  5. exactly

  6. Haha! I believe not lol...
No, really, CP has all these soft, slow songs...U2 is a lot harder in that case...U2 is very intimate too, but CP lives on intimity...

@ Juraj: that's a different tour, those special effects were okay

It isn't great and emotional IMO anymore...quality above quantity...

why don't you like them when they use them now? they just changed the costumes and the stage a little bit, but they play only arenas, and that is intimate.

as does U2.....that's what the Elevation Tour was about....SOUL. During the tour things happened, some that affected the band, and gave the tour its ultimate feel in the 3rd leg. You're basing U2 off the Vertigo Tour, which IMO was horrible because it didn't have enough intimacy.

As I'm trying to say the entire time; it's the complete atmosphere lol...

  11. well if someone told me he would give me a ticket to a CP show which would last 1 hour and only song like The Scientist would be played, I'd tell him to fuck off and would by tickets to a 2-hour show with songs like Square One, Lovers In Japan and Speed Of Sound
