Yeah I only came across it tonight from looking at the show on Brucebase, never knew there was a CD made from it, didn't think the recording of the show that floats around on the net was good enough for a CD. Hoping that a better recording was used or remastered or something for the CD release, but I'm not sure it'll be easy to come by regardless
brucebase doesn't specify anymore than one recording it usually does where an original and a better one circulate, particularly on cd. Just because someone has pressed it to cd doesn't mean it's better quality than one you could find on the internet. I think because sometimes we're spoiled by both quality and quantity there's a tendency to think there must be better out there particularly if it's one we want and can't get.
this link has a sample of war from the cd, see what it sounds like to you and let me know.
Yeah it's exactly the same as the one circulating on the internet. I didn't expect it to be an upgrade, I was JUST hoping. It's not a bad recording by any means, but there are a few screamers here and there, especially in Backstreets. The song that matters most to me from my first Bruce show...
Though let's face it as recordings are still surfacing from the 70's then nothing is final and you'd guess there would be more than one recorder in an arena.
