i think incident has a very loyal following and outside of that most people would wonder what the fuss is about. If i was forced to choose my favourite song it would come down to that or the much more obvious thunder road - on 99% of days though i'd go with incident now. It was for many years one of the great lost songs live, only appeared once on the river tour, never again until 1999. It had a brief spell in 2007 where it almost became a regular event but it seems to be vanishing again. I'm with you all the way on born in the usa, strangely i don't mind dancing in the dark as it is what it is a hit for the encores and downbound train is welcome anytime, and i wouldn't mind a few more cover me's and an odd i'm on fire. darlington county and working on the highway i could happily never hear again i just don't get why they are so frequent. Bobby jean and no surrender are clearly joined at the hip but should be on the subs bench in my opinion. Born in the usa really has had it's day as a song, glory days seems to be done on autopilot plus it's another song like darlington and working where he can mess about for ten minutes with false endings etc etc. I don't even know why i'm going down was on the album given what was left off and my hometown was very much of it's time.

To get Adam Raised a Cain > Candy's Room > She's the One > Something in the Night as the opening sequence, wow. Then Bruce went and gave us Incident, Because the Night, Jackson Cage and (I love the Rising record) Lonesome Day into the Rising and Rosie came out in the encores.. Pretty amazing show in my book.
