1. Good luck seeing many of those at all if he is playing a festival. Wouldn't surprise me if Bruce will just print out the back cover of his Greatest Hits or the Essential or that new tour compilation thingo and tape that down on the floor for his set.

Can't remember a Trapped since Aus, if it has been out, it's only once since then I'd say
  2. Trapped in Copenhagen
  3. don't know if it can be called a festival as ferrari (?) said there will only 2 support acts ...

    i don't remember if i ever attended a Bruce' s concert with supporters ...

PS: U2 should learn from that .. my memory says i enjoyed supporting acts just once (2 times) hehe

This is a festival right? it will be interesting to see if he does a complete album for a crowd of more casual fans as a festival would imply. And if he does you'd expect it to be born in the usa

No, it ain't a festival. It is at a sort of festival place but its just Bruce and his support acts.

I've been in love with The River album the last weeks. If he decides to do a full album show, just play The River for me Otherwise Born To Run would be cool too.

I'm really looking forward to saturday
  5. Idd, only 2 supportacts, started at 16.30. Also the Black Crows, which I like to see. Bruce starts about 19.00/19.30.
  6. Ah so it'll be like Hanging Rock.

Two supports then Bruce on at around 1900.

Seeing Bruce is definitely better with no support, cause then he doesn't see the need to do woeful duets! Plus, most support acts are just crap (I'm looking at you, U2, with Kanye West and Jay-Z).
  7. the river, nebraska and tunnel would all be indoors if they happened (which they won't) - there seems to be a section of fans who believe wiess is coming based on what who knows? Hope, desperation, losing the will to live with the other three?

clover i'm 50% with you on the u2 support acts, outdoors i can see a (bit of a)point - indoors no it should just be u2, onstage at around 8pm for 2.5 hours no messing. There's nothing to stop them from doing like Bruce mixing indoors and outdoors and having several days off in between to rest Bono's voice.

They could and should play for closer to three hours. At least around two and a half each night. They're renowned for their live acts and yet have barely played a show longer than 2:20, 2:30 (East Rutherford 2011 comes in at their longest show I think, at roughly 2:31). They are all ~50 and Bruce is 63..

I'm sure U2 could push it to 150 minutes+ each night they tour. They usually have enough days off in between.
  9. As for the hope for WEISS in its entirety, that would be amazing. That is one of the ones I would like to see done in full, just because it's so rare and full of jewels. Incident > Rosie > NYC Serenade? I would probably die.

there's very little messing about in a u2 set though they don't have the equivalents of american land, twist and shout and (that old favourite) light of day that can be dragged out to at least ten minutes for no good reason - if bono had thirty minutes where he only actually had to sing for ten of them he'd feel like he'd had a holiday - the most he gets is a long intro

The Black Crowes were very very nice indeed back in the 90s .. don't know lately though .. i've lost their traces since many years

U2 shorten songs too lately ... Mysterious Ways for example ...
