  1. Can't agree with you, dylbagz. I've had that same experience at a U2 concert (being almost the only one who knew Mercy, Spanish Eyes, The Unforgettable Fire, Ultraviolet) and I didn't feel like the people who didn't know them (some of them were first row, I was 2nd) should be behind me. I just felt luckier than them, but I didn't have a single negative feeling towards them.

    Ade, I'm not attacking your opinion or taking it personally, I'd write the same if it was clover or any other saying it I'm just discussing your opinion with another opinion, no big deal!
  2. Why would you go to the front row of a concert if you aren't a diehard? That's honestly a little beyond me. I mean, not knowing Ultraviolet or The Unforgettable Fire in the front row of a U2 concert? That's a little embarrassing. The band don't want that. They want a good atmosphere and a pumped up crowd who are into every song. There is no reason why any band would want people in the front rows of a show to not know 90% of the songs they play.

  4. hard to say which ones i named is the best .. they sound quite similar to my ear ... maybe Alysha (Milano) is slightly better

    That last sentence is a bit extreme... I'm talking about not knowing 3 out of 23 (in the case of that U2 shows I'm talking about), or not knowing 5 out of 30 (the average of songs I don't know or can't recite on Bruce setlists). It's more like a 10-15% than a 90%. Not knowing a 90% of the songs from a show should ban you from entering the venue

    And I don't know how posers and snobs behave in other places, but here in Spain the "I've been there, look at my 45789 crap photos from the first row" is a powerful and sadly common thing to say.

    Also, just finishing... Bruce's discography is so extense (16 or 17 studio albums plus lots of compilations including more unreleased songs) that I myself find it quite hard to dive into it all - and then again I consider myself a fan. So I can perfectly understand how that U2 fans should feel regarding Mercy (never released) or Spanish Eyes (a b-side played less than 20 times worldwide since it was written).
  6. The Springsteen concert in Nijmegen was the first Springsteen show for my girlfriend, she does not know most of the songs, but it was the best concert she has ever seen and a total moment she would never forget.

    No problem thanks for your info. Milan was a great show reading the review, but personally I do not like so much a complet Born in the Usa album show. But ok, the ultimate Springsteen bootleg, in audio, setlist and performance does not exist, I think

    i'd probably go for Oslo 2 rather than Turku 1 .. even just to avoid Queen of the supermarket hehe

  11. 15th august i think - very very rough video, mind so is the bremen - probably worse, that's why they were at the back of the cupboard i guess. found allsorts of stuff though.
