1. The audience can sing the sax parts. They drown Clarence during Born To Run on the Barcelona DVD...
  2. maybe they'll just use a recording
  3. i hope and think not

I was listening to a couple of Springsteen classic earlier this morning and I truly realized HOW MUCH will Clarence be missed, specially in songs like Jungleland, Thunder Road or Born To Run... I think that not replacing him is the wisest decission, and I thikn they should still play those classic songs without him. Avoiding the songs where he had legendary sax parts is a false and dishonourable way of trying to avoid his absence.

Could you imagine them playing Jungleland and just having four minutes of essential silence with just the back up music where the sax solo used to be? It would be the most amazing tribute they could ever do to him i think.
  6. They could play his solos on electric guitar instead.

    Absolutely yes.

    Absolutely not.

  8. I agree about Jungleland, but with other songs...
  9. Maybe they'll do something similar to AC/DC when Bon Scott died?
Pretty sure they've never played It's A Long Way To The Top since, as a tribute to him. And that's possibly their most famous song. Maybe Bruce + the E Streeters will just avoid playing Jungleland entirely.. Because that was Clarence's song. He made it. Just like Bon Scott made IALWTTT.
  10. LOL, I had a strange time imagining that your "IALWTTT" acronym was meant for "In A Little While Trying To Throw..." hahahaha...

No, I don't think they'll avoid playing Jungleland. I don't think that's what Clarence himself would have liked, do you? I think the best solution would be one of these two: play a pre-recorded sax solo with the big man on the screens OR just play the same backing music they'd be playing if Clarence was actually playing. But avoiding playing the "big" Clarence songs, or replacing him with another sax player would be equally unfair towards fans and the memory of Clarence himself.
  11. Martin Luther King on Zoo TV-like Clarence appearences. Now that would be something.
  12. Well regardless of what happens, I'm happy. I was lucky enough to see him
