And I'm sincerely hoping that Bruce does the US in fall of 2012, arenas. Be a perfect birthday present, as long as he brings Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out with him on the road

How do you guys feel about Lonesome Day? I think along with The Rising, it's the best song Bruce has put out in the last 15 years.

Lonesome Day is great. Also Radio Nowhere is a good rocker.

Lonesome Day is the BEST song Bruce has written in the 00s at all. Better than The Rising and better than Radio Nowhere. I was so happy that he performed it as second song in the Madrid concert. And I hope he keeps on performing it in the upcoming tour
  4. Such an inspiring tune, glad you agree
  5. I've had a massive session today. Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, Nebraska, The River, Greetings from Asbury Park, Tunnel of Love and finally The Wild, The Innocent and The E Street Shuffle!

7 albums (technically 8 if we count the two discs of The River)! Certainly been a great listen. 10 minute New York Serenade to finish.

Without a doubt great tunes, but in my opinion Long Walk Home is the best song of the 00's
  7. Tenth Avenue Freeze Out is another one that is going to be really weird without Clarence. It's basically a song about him. IDK how i'd feel if they played it without the Big Man.

Personally not a huge fan of Lonesome Day. To me it's just an all right song, don't hate it or anything but I could do without it. Although i kinda feel that way about all the songs from the 2000's so take that for what you will.

i'm also in the process to "refresh" myself his discography .. well not with that massive session, just every now and then
i passed through The River lately and a consideration has come to my mind .. i think that it could have been put on higher level if it was just not as long as it is.
it could have been closer to Born to run/Darkness with a tracklist like this for example

    The ties that bind
    Jackson cage
    Two hearts
    Independence day
    Hungry heart
    You can look
    The river
    Point blank
    Cadillac ranch
    Ramrod
    Drive all night

and the rest of the songs in a Lost Sessions cd like The Promise

    Point Blank is brilliant.

BITUSA was acoustic, the rest of the set wasn't. Sorry that was meant to be next to the opener. He came out alone and played BITUSA solo acoustic, and then the lights dropped and the rest of the E Street Band came out and burst into War. This was 8 years ago in March, and they opened in that fashion cause it was the day the USA began the war on terror and Bruce wasn't too pleased about that..

Lonesome Day and The Rising are two amazing tracks, that whole album is amazing. IMO easily his best work since Born in the USA came out in 84.
  11. I get the intention, I've just never been a fan of that song acoustically at all.
