Got me buggered why you wouldn't want arguably the best show Bruce has ever done released on Bluray and CD - but maybe it's just that, we already have a good recording - do we need more when we could have another new one (even though we already have a perfectly good recording of it anyway)? Why not lobby for something that we don't have yet

they fell for all the crap that was spouted about the darkness box so maybe this is just another case of that - i don't think they think along the lines of 'we've already heard that let's have something else' it's like the endless 'upgrades', 'remasters' etc of boots - in 99% of cases there's so little difference it's not worth it. i think what also happens is they talk themselves into a corner - they've convinced themselves tempe will be in the river box with no evidence to go on - other than maybe a few seconds in the springsteen and I movie. Just like they convinced themselves of passaic, msg in the darkness set and then houston turned up.
  2. I'd prefer whatever Bruce and JL think is the greatest show from the River tour that is the best representation of the album and the tour. Whether they judge it to be 81-20-08, Tempe, one of the end of year shows or something that no one has even thought of, I don't care. They were the ones that experienced every show of the tour, after all
  3. Listen again with a big smile on my face to Madison Square Garden 2009-11-08 the River concert.

Awsome show and fantastic audio quality.

I saw in Rockinconcerts.com that there are dvd's of both shows.

Does someone know these dvd's, the recording quality?
  4. you can find both split into individual songs on you tube - both are shot by the now, if what i've read is true, defunct new york city bitch committee - both are predominantly shot from the screens although the river show includes some other angles and is by far the better of the two nights as a viewing experience.
  5. i just started listening to the very average recording of hard rock calling 2013. I know shackled and drawn worked as an opener last year at a show but here it's a total disaster. Badlands struggles to bring the gig back on track, prove it nearly manages and then johnny 99 gets lost insome messing about that just drags it back into the mire. Redeemed by a great atlantic city.

Thanks Ade, you know also where to download?

  9. Niggas in Paris is the rumoured title of the new album.

  10. pissed off in paris and london might have been a better title
  11. Yeah, I would have been pissed being in Paris and London this year. Thanks, but no thanks.

Still no word on that good Rome recording?
  12. Happy 38th birthday to the magnificent Born To Run album, released on Aug 25th 1975
